MsVoyeringmama -> RELOCATING/MOVING (5/27/2006 6:19:48 AM)

[sm=hello.gif] hello all - I'm seriously contemplating moving (end of summer, now that our older kids are graduating next month)-  from CT to Ridgefield Washington/Portland Org. area with my lil son and sis<< she is NOT kink, so Please dont assume getting 2 for price of 1....
(I have kink friends in seattle side as well as in Tacoma-Kent and Redmond- my/our preferance is from Longview and south to the area stated we're coming to or as close to..

so with this Im doing many things--
-seek housing for me/son and sis. I have a federal section 8 cert. that is being transferred with me so I need a 3 bdrm home/preferablly over apt type dwelling. the amount the transferr for now is min.  $1,350

-seek jobs for me and sis
ME: a driver of any vechile/has CDL"A" - does school bus now/ 26 yrs exp.driving professionally/ all types vechiles. also into wood working, so carpentry, I wouldnt shy away from -have tools and steel toe boots
sis/ manager position of food stores and/or dept. stores

-seeks both Poly and bdsm munches/groups and play places (ME only-sis not part of-but knows my kinks)
and last a sub/slave for me- to be still a part of my reason for CM profile :)

Good luck on Housing. Many counties dont even take names for section 8 waiting list. The goverment formula doesnt cover real estate taxes in many areas.

...one of those states- the goverment owns your car. maybe it is Oregon.

Waiting list for section 8- 1-3 years and as long as 10 years.

And dont forget- a goverment inspector will inspect these dwellings.

BTW- a drug convictrion- and one is banned for life.

-best of luck hun. The pacific northwest is a lovely part of the country.

 Waiting list for section 8- 1-3 years and as long as 10 years. <<thats waiting to get a cert. I already have a federal 1..  there are 3 types of section 8 certs..
1) town= the town that provides it, is town you must live in,always..
2) state= you must live in town that provides for 1 yr, then can move any where with in state after.
3) FEDERAL =  (mine) you can live any where in the state that gave you cert. for 1 yr, then transfer to anywhere in USA only...
And dont forget- a goverment inspector will inspect these dwellings. << usually when you put a request in for inspection, that is done most times with in a 2wks---1 month time frame

well i been on it for 6 + yrs now- no drug or anything conviction-  the few times i went out that way for visit i also stopped at housing authority- with a copy a paperwork from here- im at top of list :) with my voucher, and unlike most states -well at least CT- in Washington,clark county they have a list of l/l's that they sent me to for housing.i also will be kept on list up to 5 months for searching- they know for time being,i will be staying by a family/friend member, so thats not the issue of waiting- i have cert already- my issue is finding so im not going out fully blinded and nothing to have.-so my view is to get job locked in and housing. so it isnt a big deal after getting there :)

LoneWolfTG -> RE: RELOCATING/MOVING (6/12/2006 5:09:02 PM)

Well as far as housing goes...check in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area. There are a lot of houses in that part of the Puget Sound region and many take Sec 8. It's in Thurston County and is halfway between Seattle and Portland. When it comes to play spaces...I recommend my favorite out there: The Wet Spot in Seattle....there was one in Portland too....but fot the life of me I can't remember the name of it. As for a house slave/servant....can't really help you there...many of the subs that I knew in the area have moved on and/or are taken already. I can however inquire with an old sub of mine to see if she has any more info. Leave me an email here if you are interested in this info.

Happy Hunting,

I'll second what LoneWolfTG says as far as housing.  Another nice thing is that those areas will keep you fairly close to major freeways.  The types of jobs you refer to shouldn't be too hard to come by in that general area either.  I know there is at least one Olympia munch that meets monthly, and at least one Tacoma munch that meets twice a month (Tacoma's only about 25 min from Olympia, if that).  I haven't been to either, but have friends that speak highly of them.
