Thread after thread is started on these boards by disgruntled men bemoaning about financial female dominants.
More recently a thread was put up about the marvels of the new image Google search engine. Being the nosey person I am, I searched many of these financial females pictures and was amused to see that perhaps as many as 50% are stolen internet pictures. It didn’t surprise me. These are just women that have jumped into the money pot of BDSM but need an alter ego to do so. Others are simply sock puppets using someone else’s ID to get their kicks.
What I find more interesting is the pictures of guys. Now I haven’t tried American men, just English ones and more than 50% of those English men's images’ come up as stolen internet pictures but more alarmingly, a percentage big enough to be concerned about, came up as known internet scammers.
One guy (the one that enticed me to look at others) has 3 pages of google warnings and story upon story from American women who were cajoled into lending him money. His picture is that of a guy in his late 40s wearing a suit and smiling at the camera. He looks like the average English gent and isn’t even good looking.
So us women have problems too with false ID’s and money grabbing con men.

Ladies I strongly recommend you learn how to use your Google image search because it seems that just as many men are at it as women.

No that would only come up if I put your real name or email address into Google, not the image. Images on facebook are not indexed.

ya know I've never had a problem figuring out false profiles from real ones. I've never been scammed by one, never thought it was a real one when it wasn't. I mean they're blatantly obvious. I've quite understood how people fall for them unless they're extremely desperate or naive.

Some of my images on here were taken off my IC profile and some of my images on FL were taken off this profile. Both IC and FL don't allow Google image search. CM shows up as Darkgrove because that is their sites image server.
Random stuff such as public websites for models, purchase pictures and press releases tend to show up if a picture has been taken off or used on one of those sites.

I have never fallen for one either but then I have only ever met up with people close to me and within a few weeks of chatting online. I always say, if it looks too good to be true it probably is. Sexy babrie dolls asking for large change are more likely middle aged men making a bit on the side.

When I met Steve on here I didn't have the facility that is now available. If it had been available I sure as hell would of used it.

so then why post this unless you think everyone else is stupid enough to fall for these things? But I'm also of the opinion that if you fall for such things then you learned a valuable lesson thus I don't worry about "warning" people.

Tineye works fine on FL so finding fake pics isn't an issue. I recommend it for those who want to know whether a pic is legit or not.

You mean if you use a picture from here and put it in 'Tinyeye' it will come up with that same picture on FL???
Or did you mean if you use Tineye for pics from FL it will do a web search? if its the second then Google does the same
I think its a good idea to use both.

the second one. I'm confused; I took the quote I quoted as meaning you couldn't search pics on FL using Google search so I posted that Tineye does.

Ah sorry for the confusion. It can find FL images but if I took my picture off here and image searched it, it wouldn't show up on Google as an image in FL

I post and warn because my best friends 18 year old daughter was raped after meeting a man on a dating site. On their first meet he told her that he would send a taxi to the station to pick her up. She didn't suspect the middle aged taxi driver was the same young man she had been chatting to on the dating site and naively jumped in the cab. She was raped.

There are 18 year olds that use this site and there are some grown women who could be naively coerced into believing something to be true. Some people are more trusting than others. Some people can be hugely convincing.

If this thread helps one person it was worth printing it.

I totally agree and pics here on CM can be easily copied, some A**hole had been taking my pics and creating multiple accounts it's irritating, I dont think there is a way here on CM for your pics not to be copied. gosh why does it say vanilla on my pics does anybody know how to changed it? thanks
