MstrDennynSlave -> Burns (11/20/2011 7:58:13 AM)

I realize this isn't a question that has any specific answer. I'm just trying to get a general time frame. And that it also depends on the person. I have a burn on my stomach that was caused by a hot spot in a heating pad. I had first, second, and third degree burns from it. It has healed up quite nicely. My question is how long do burns stay tender? I was released from the burn clinic in September, with full healing. The burn occured in either February or March. I can't use Silvadien (sp), as I'm highly allergic to Sulfa drugs. So it was a matter of getting something that did not have sulfa in it. The third degree burn took a long time to heal and I have an indentation from it, which I was told would happen. I hadn't noticed til today how tender it still is. I acciddently ran my fingernail across it and it really hurt. No, I didn't lay on the heating pad either. Master wasn't sure how old the heating pad was, so we pitched it.
