marx, on the fate of a society in which the financial elite grow too powerful:

Since the finance aristocracy made the laws, was at the head of the administration of the state, had command of all the organized public authorities, dominated public opinion through the actual state of affairs and through the press, the same prostitution, the same shameless cheating, the same mania to get rich was repeated in every sphere, from the court to the Café Borgne[2] to get rich not by production, but by pocketing the already available wealth of others, Clashing every moment with the bourgeois laws themselves, an unbridled assertion of unhealthy and dissolute appetites manifested itself, particularly at the top of bourgeois society – lusts wherein wealth derived from gambling naturally seeks its satisfaction, where pleasure becomes crapuleux [debauched], where money, filth, and blood commingle. The finance aristocracy, in its mode of acquisition as well as in its pleasures, is nothing but the rebirth of the lumpenproletariat on the heights of bourgeois society.

hmmmmmm why hello there jamie dimon, hank paulson, jon corzine, lloyd "we're doing god's work" blankfein.....

his point is obviously that Marx used a lot of strange words strung together to say absolutely nothing.

I see that. I only see it indirectly via actions and general societal movements, if I care to call them that.

That "they", the elite are becoming as us, the great finallywashed, after all these years. That even if the winds of change do not sweep them out, they are not the "royal" type they used to be, the have no glory. That their substance has been eaten out.

Note also that this was then. It was alot harder to see in the past. We can see it now via the results but to have seen it back then was something different. Insightful would be the word I think.

T^T

indeed. after saying i was about to quote marx, i quoted marx.

specifically,i quoted a passage in which marx described the moral decadence that descends on a society in which a class of predatory gamblers (wall street traders are compulsive, degenerate gamblers) is given free rein. the relationship between the society described by marx and one dominated by paulson, dimon, blankfein, corzine, and run by stooges like obama, clinton, bush the younger and the sundry parade of republican aspirants is pretty clear.

it is interesting how often this cycle of turning the keys to the kingdom over to the bankers so they can drain what is left out of a society repeats itself. it is interesting how each time it does repeat itself so many people who are being sucked dry by the vampire speculators hastily hop forward to defend the god given right of vampire speculators to drain dry whatever they fancy.

Yes, the relationship is clear: none.

Marx said capital will rule and it does...everything. The monetary system (worthless paper money) is inherently a fraud.

Hey, let's leave John Adams thinking out of this. We all know what a radical communist he was. It's fun and impoverishing to be slave to the speculators. Even though an ever-increasing and ever poorer population is just that.

Ahem --> http://www1.salary.com/Chief-Executive-Officer-Salary.html

Oh, and assuming the "US Congressman Pay" is even REMOTELY accurate, then why aren't the Left-Tard loons "Occupying" the Halls of Congress?!!

Hint:  CEOs are responsible for PRODUCING PROFITS (which create jobs)... Congressman/Congresswomen are responsible for PRODUCING NOTHING -- just TAKING other people's money.

Hypocritical monons on the Left... go "Occupy" Congress -- they work for US, yet they make some FIVE TIMES the amount of the "Middle Class American" and produce NOTHING?!!

Gawd, the Left truly are beyond retarded.

its a syntax game in the courts.

the courts were set up under the king and the king is head of state and its not different in america today.

we won the revoution and lost the war LOL

exactly as predicted I might add.

Yes the commercial institutions in colusion with the gubafia usurped your rights and created slave states.

you have a national debt that your child is responsible to pay the second his ass hits the table.

that is bond slavery.
