Just heard it on WGN -- he got 168 months, 60 months and 30 months consective. By statute he will have to serve 11.8 years which is 85% of his sentence. I am sure people will find a link. He said he was sorry and accepted some responsibility to the judge prior to the sentencing, the judge did get off the bench after wards, which on some levels makes me wonder if this helped bring the sentence in under the Prosecutions request of 15-20. He is getting double what Governor Ryan got. All in all, another one bites the dust in Illinois history. angel

Him shooting off his mouth prior to trial didn't help him. If I was a prosecutor, I would be airing that footage to show he had no conscience whatsoever. Glad to see him nailed. Now, a few thousand banksters to follow and I'll be happy.

IIRC he was quite interested in the seat but balked when it was shown to be up for sale. An analogy would be me propositioning a woman and then refusing when I found out she charges.

He was only sorry after he was convicted. He deserves every week of that sentence.

My problem with this is a matter of scale. Ryan got a lot less than this and his corruption went on longer, involved more people, more money and actually resulted in deaths.

"matter of scale"....True that. Scooter Libby was found guilty of obstruction of justice in a treason investigation,a huge crime with jail time........ Libby, is at home chilling and enjoying life.Never saw a prison cell. Blago with good behavior, will be out before or just after the end of President Obama`s 2nd term.
