From the comments: Honestly, he sounds less crazy and more like someone who has Aspergers. If you view it from that lens, it sounds like he is concerned with facts and rules likely gleaned from studying social situations. He seems completely puzzled why his facts don't add up as they are suppose to.

hahaha....I'm laughing because both me and my girlfriend, when we were still both single and doing the whole online dating thing, have gotten emails almost exactly like that from men. She would email them back and rant and rave just as much like a lunatic as that person. Me though, I would always just laugh and delete the emails and block their calls. It's not as uncommon as you think.
