His attorney was on the Today Show. He was asked point blank if he felt he was competent enough to defend Sandusky. Maybe that will be their fall back plan?

I doubt it. There are a lot of appeals attempts based on ineffective representation, and very few are granted.

The Sandusky defense will be based on various things. One of them will be shenanigans to delay the trial - the guy's old and can't live forever. There will be motions to change venue. Maybe an insanity defense. Sandusky's denying everything but the evidence looks pretty damning.

I see that Mike McQueary is in the news again. Looks like he has yet again changed his story about what he did and did not see that day. It won't have much impact of the Sandusky trial but I knew there was something fishy about this guy from day one. Doubtful that they'll bust him for lying to the grand jury since his actions brought this all to light.
