There have been some interesting replys, especially on the types of love.
I think for me personally, it would have to be a romantic love, I would need to be "in love" in order to submit totally, and I would hope he would feel the same about me.
I was prompted to ask this question because I had a Master tell me once that He could never love a slave, and that she would be nothing more than property and treated as such. He made it clear that he would have a "vanilla" girlfriend who would live in the house and sleep in his bed, and I might be tied outside on a chain until I was needed.
I guess that I feel my submission is much more than that, and I want to be respected, loved, cherished, and he would get that and more back from me.
If I can't have the entire package, then I don't want it at all.
I have always been told that I am "lesser than", on the bottom of the totem pole so to speak. I don't feel that way, and never will.
