There were no WMD's. We didn't rebuild the country. We let a civil war run unchecked for over a year. We spent more than a trillion dollars (almost all of it went into the pockets of the 1%). We had families at home holding bake sales and the like to get vital equipment like body armor and radios to the troops.

Even from the strictly military PoV history will record that the US lost the First Battle of Fallujah against what was essentially irregulars.

Another blak eye forever hung on the US by the actions of W and the neocons.

Obama praised what our soldiers accomplished in Iraq, for liberating the people of Iraq and by extension he praised president Bush and the Iraq war itself
