For the most part true. Although I do know women that don't want a relationship. But I think the key is finding the right place to find that person. It's probably better suited to other sites like AFF or Alt.

OP - the reason you're getting flak is that this is just to say hello and tell about yourself.  You're trying to set up meets right away.  That's analogous to walking into a bar and announcing to everyone that you just rented a hotel room and are available for hot chicks.
