Hello, this seems like a safe and helplful way to get acclimated to the D/s scene; total newbie, married straight male, has always had an interest in surrender, not really sure how much there is out there, but curious and wanting to learn and explore

Hello and welcome. These forums can be a wealth of knowledge and are a good place to start gathering knowledge, if you don't see a thread on a topic that interests you then try doing a search on past threads. I learned a lot just reading in here.

You don't seem very clear in what you're looking for, if anything, but hang out and see if things become clearer with time. Since you took the initiative to mention you are married, is your wife along for the ride and looking to learn as well or does she have some experience with this?

thanks for the advice.....no she is not involved, we have always been very very vanilla I think that is part of what has gotten me here. Happy in parts of our lives, unhappy in other parts

I see, well in that case I'm glad you have the friends only box checked off in your profile as you may not find many women who would be willing to be your piece on the side so to speak. Being new it might not be entirely obvious, but there are many more men here then women, and the line for a lifestyle Domina is pretty darned long- shorter if you are willing to pay a professional. Still....there's a lot to explore just by reading, at the very least you can get a realistic view of what this lifestyle is like and knowledge is never a bad thing to have under your belt.

I am not askign for anyone to be a piece on the side....if anything I am their piece, or whatever she would determine me to be.....I do understand the notion of what is expected from each side, I have just never been part of the details that follow.

I figured there would be more men that women, I would imagine every website that has sex attached to it somewhere has that same ratio. We men are what we are, I would like to find people who understand that when it comes to sexual things, women are so much more superior it isnt funny........

BDSM is a thing based on mutual trust and intimacy, even if the interaction is a half hour at a play party.  We trust each other with our bodies, with our fantasies, with our hearts.  You are beginning this by cheating on the person you are married to.  MOST women, not all, take a dim view of this.  Since you are already claimed, a whole array of limits are already in place.  I know I don't engage under those kinds of restrictions.

Gender superiority, to put it mildly, is utter bollocks.  You might find women sexually superior because you desire them;  that is your perception, to which you are welcome.  It is not the reality that most of us share.
