ORIGINAL: bighappygoth39 You might say that you don't want children at this point, but I firmly believe that men can get broody as well as women, and you can only be sure about not wanting children when you're at least thirty. I could be wrong, of course, but that has been my experience. Obviously people will be all over the map on this, but for me that exactly how it went. Got married at 23, was sure I didn't want kids. Still didn't at 28. Even when I hit 30 I was happy rocking the kid-free lifestyle. Then somewhere around 32 I realized that I really wanted children. Three kids later it's the best change of mind I ever had, but had my relationship been with a much older woman I might not have been able to do so. My guess would be some women avoid relationships with younger men to preclude such things.
