Clickofheels -> No. 3 Thread of a Different Color (1/7/2012 11:29:24 AM)

I believe each of us is a teacher to someone else...whether consciously or subconsciously, favorably or unfavorably. When we come in contact with another person, we take some part of that person with us. It could be as simple as a smile from the grocery checkout person, to something as complex as a new concept from a board meeting. A laugh from a new joke shared with a friend, or terrible grief from the loss of a mentor. None of us are immune.

Given that thought...

To the Dominants on the site, what important lesson(s) have you garnered from being in the presence of submissives?

AND

To the submissives on the site, what important lesson(s) have you learned from being in the presence of Dominants?

(And please note. It doesn't have to be lessons learned because you were in a relationship. It can be lessons learned simply from being on this site, joining a chat room, or posting here.)

I'm hoping this thread will bring some really interesting replies!

Enjoy!
Respectfully offered,
Ms Clickofheels

The importance of communication, patience, trust and respect. I had none of that in my previous relationship. When I formally joined the world of D/s and met my amazing Dom, I've been taught just how vital these aspects are.

Oh, and how much fun it is [:D]
