If they're trading labor for room and board, which is a business arrangement, why do they have to be a submissive?

Fornica -> RE: live-in SUB (1/12/2012 7:17:20 PM)

what she said.
Also...craigslist called. They want you back.

Employed as what? a housekeeper? Or do you mean employed outside of cleaning your house? Is that so you don't have to provide benefits?

ScatteredRose -> RE: live-in SUB (1/12/2012 8:10:40 PM)

I don't think this is in the right section either...lol....

This sounds kind of fishy to me...
So the submissive has to be employed outside of your home and come home and clean your house?

Not to be rude, but I'm gonna guess you have other obligations that don't allow you to do the cleaning either?
If so, why must the lady be employed?

I's a confused Rose.

Aren't we all? The line starts about two miles back.

In the past I've just payed for a cleaner. Twenty bucks an hour and the place is clean and its probably cheaper and more conveniant than having someone live in. Unless there is a catch you haven't mentioned?

peppermint -> RE: live-in SUB (1/12/2012 10:04:29 PM)

Legally the lady involved must pay taxes on value of services provided and benefits received.  Quarterly you would have to report the value of these things and deduct from her funds or yours the taxable deductions and pay these funds to the government.  She would also be responsible for her portion of SS deductions and you would be responsible for an equal portion.  There would also be payment for workman's comp in case she gets hurt on the job.

Legally you are responsible for taxable services provided to you in your household.  You legally have to report these services and pay the taxes and deductions involved with having a maid who receives room and board.  Just because there is no money traded does not mean there is no monitary value.

I'm thinking the catch has to do with the "female submissive" part......

OsideGirl -> RE: live-in SUB (1/13/2012 7:52:37 AM)

OP, I see you're watching the thread. Nothing to say?

ScatteredRose -> RE: live-in SUB (1/13/2012 8:24:40 AM)

Maybe he got lucky and found his dream girl already? That message was really catchy :P

LadyHibiscus -> RE: live-in SUB (1/13/2012 8:57:09 AM)

Molly Maids or whatever, much safer and cheaper all around, if ALL you want is a clean house.

Otherwise, yeah, Craigslist, bearing in mind that it's one thing to FIND a reliable lodger, and another thing to get RID of that person...

kalikshama -> RE: live-in SUB (1/13/2012 9:57:39 AM)

In Florida, after they've been there two weeks they have established residency and you must go through the formal eviction process to get them out.

OP, before you do this... read ...

"Craig's list called. They want you back." (Still chuckling over that post)

California is that way, too, it's really tricky.

I did wonder if it got down to "surprise buttsex" while the cleaner was trying to vacuum under the sofa.

OsideGirl -> RE: live-in SUB (1/14/2012 8:55:23 AM)

Well, even though the OP hung out in this thread for about an hour yesterday, they never did answer the question.

If this was truly about trading room and board, it wouldn't matter if the room-ee was submissive or not. The only thing that would matter is if they were kink friendly. I can understand preferring a male or a female roommate, but their sexual or D/s orientation shouldn't matter unless you're trying to sneak something under the rug.

They're not looking to trade room and board for housekeeping. They're looking for a live in female submissive that will be their toy......and they're hiding that under the guise of a business arrangement. Which is dishonest.
