No troubling nor ridicule from me, however in reading comments that are contrary, i seek greater awareness. If one expresses opinion that intrigues i desire to know if it is just bias personal opinion, simple conjecture or is it something more substantive such as actual real-life experience. For me the scrutiny comes from curiosity and to substantiate. If one puts forth a hard-set uncompromising opinion, i certainly feel entitled to seek further or to express my own opinion in possible enlightenment.
Also i disagree with your comment we should focus only on ourselves in regards to a public board. The purpose of which to me is to share and gain awareness, perspective, contrary opinion and knowledge. If one does not desire such... then they should refrain from venturing upon such path!

I interpreted dreamy's post from a different angle... although really, he would be the only one to say who read it the way he intended.
I felt he was (perhaps) saying that in reading the posts he notices there are many people making issues with things that are so unimportant...(which made ME think of things like the way someone writes their profile, or how they first introduce themselves, or the way they word a question.) People should be more critical of the way they live their own lives than the way some stranger lives theirs.
Uniqueness and individuality should be welcomed, not chastised. Let people be who they are and not try to cram them into a mold we think they should fit.
As for you NJ, of course you have a right to be curious about what other people say and to state your opinion!
However, there seems to be a mindset around here as to how that SHOULD and/or SHOULD NOT be done. If you do it the "right way," that's fine. But if not, than you automatically become fodder for insults and rudeness.
And standing up for oneself is grounds for being run off, entirely. (And I am NOT looking for a fight over this!!)
I hope you'll continue to post, to learn, and to find enjoyment here! (Smiles)
