Well put Mr Rodgers,
There is also a heavy,itching desire to see a democrat president go down through scandal.
After seeing Tricky dick`s epic fail and Saint ronnie(and Bush Sr.) selling our hi-tech weapons to the Iranian revolutionary guard and shrub`s daily failures with dick`s treason,the cons just see this a normal part of politics.
Doesn`t much matter that those cocksuckers deserved to be blamed and scorned.Cons are looking for a big juicy scandal so they don`t feel like the only ones.
Problem is,there really hasn`t been a real scandal for cons to exploit.By real scandal I mean laws broken,crimes committed, damage done,maleficence and bad faith shown and law enforcement involvement.Plamegate.....that was a scandal.
Republican scandal mongering of Bill Clinton was a fail with almost all the adulterer/accusers going down instead,including newty.
And now we have the neo-conservative do-nothing,blame-anyone,shirk-everything,credit-ruining-economy-wrecking republicans trying/failing to create fake scandals.F&F,the Solandra bankruptcy,etc.,while unfortunate things in themselves,were NOT done in bad faith or intentionally done to cause damage,like with Plamegate.
It`s almost as if the cons see all this as sport,with score cards,looking to make points and score a victory after having a long long losing streak.
Unfortunately,this is nothing like a meaningless ball game.The money we payed cheney`s companies with their reams of no-bid ripoff contracts was real money.The GIs who bush got killed with his deception were real men and women,with real families.Those are things can`t be measured with a score card.
