ok, help me out here.. the only reason I have half a clue about US and some Canadian geography is because I spent 20+ yrs driving trucks (that;s lorries, to you ;) ). where is your city in relation to, say, Edinburgh or Glencoe?

LillyoftheVally -> RE: hi all from central scotland (1/19/2012 11:35:49 AM)

Hello and welcome Mr Man :) You will find CM is largly US dominated but there are some of us from across the pond on here. Good luck with getting into your local scene, its always a brilliant adventure.

LadyPact -> RE: hi all from central scotland (1/20/2012 7:46:20 AM)

Welcome to the forums, OP.

I'm trying to remember who it is that we have on the forums that is from Scotland.  Often, that can be a way to get the inside scoop on events.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: hi all from central scotland (1/20/2012 7:47:55 AM)

VidChat is rife with Scottish people! A recent discovery, thanks to Certain Persons who introduced me to that particular time suck.

Welcome wolf, rain and snow, know what you mean, i've spent a lot of time in your country, it's a problem when you're miles from anywhere, though can have it's advantages. have slept many nights on lonely beaches, used to think i was Rob Roy Mcgregor, you know, lots of running up and down fells, lots of revieing, though not of cattle, not so much retrieving! Hey, i'm getting carried away.

spiritofthewolf1 -> RE: hi all from central scotland (1/21/2012 12:42:44 PM)

thanks for the welcomes ,with regard to location im 8 miles north of edinburgh, we have a bigger scene here than you might think ha ha ,as for the accent well i sound just like sean connery ,:P
best time to visit scotland is between the 3rd and 5th of july as occasionally its not raining on those 2 days :)

well it depends on what you want to do when you get here ,if you want to explore the highlands and want to actually see it then spring times your best bet its often drier then ,summers are a hit or a miss but mostly a miss , if you want the city life and the festivals then late summer start of autumn is best

ShibsStories -> RE: hi all from central scotland (1/21/2012 12:54:06 PM)

Welcome, good luck, and please work on that audio greeting- with the jet black hair, green eyes and scottish accent, I could be having a good night tonight, all by me lonesome...
