Here goes my first question.

Discussing arrangements and scenarios for bondage with a friend. So far it's all online.
She is interested in getting nipple piercings, and would like to be tied up during the procedure. I don't dislike the thought myself.

Depictions of such scenarios can be found online.

Wondering if a piercing studio would do this, or if any serious small business owner would stay away from such shenanigans. In other words, is this idea better left to porn ?
On-the-ground inquiries on the topic are underway.

I'm not sure about actual studios. But there are "play piercers" in the scene, who'll do it wherever they feel comfortable.

There are plenty of folks, business people and non, who do these kinds of things.  A lot of body mod folks are kink friendly, if not kinky themselves. I'd actually be really shocked if somebody at your local munch group didn't have some information on someone who is qualified and willing to do this.

For future reference, there is something about saying, "Bring on the snarky comments" that kinda takes the fun out of things. Unless you are among the really deserving. In which case, there would be extra points ...just sayin.

The only thing I find might be a bit concerning is that with the bondage, that there will be a lot of extra blood... So thats the only thing I can think that might complicate things if you are doing a chest harness with it.

I have hired out a fair amount of piercing.  Never asked them to pierce a bitch I brought in bound and gagged though. 

Do it at home?
For someone that isn't in the business, I have done quite a bit of piercing myself.  There is a lot of good reading material about how to do it yourself and they sell serialized kits with needle, clamps and jewelery.  Read up on how to use a flashlight to check for veins and align the dots on both sides of the nipple in the clamp.

No snarky commentary from this quarter. I love me some piercing talk!

I would like to suggest that your friend study up, first, on the history of piercing. Knowing the whys and wherefores of piercing can really enhance the experience by adding meaning and context. You two might also want to check out ritual piercing which can be a mind blower when the energy is right. Being pierced with your chosen leather or Ds family or inner circle around you, sharing their energy with you.. well, it just adds so much to the experience. Being pierced in a studio is, of course, going to get the purpose served but it's possible to go beyond it if you choose.


As for being pierced while in bondage..

.. is there any other way? ::grins::

In any event and with either way you decide to go with this have fun.

There are several people in our local scene who are also piercers, so I suspect you should be able to set something up.

Seems like the piercer would be less likely to rip a nipple off or something if the piercee is jumpy or something, if she was tied up.

Yep-round where I live I can think of, oh, 10 million or so freaky folks who are into piercing. You should have no trouble finding a fetish friendly one

I actually have my nipples pierced, so I can say from some experience, that you may want to discuss having her pierced and then waiting for them to heal properly before going in for abusing them and using them in bondage.  
Sure some submissive people love the pain, but it may be in her best interest to ensure there is no permanent damage to that location.

I have pierced nipples for friends. It was fun...and yes, you can get the kits on ebay, I think we got about 100 needles, clamps, jewelry and all the trappings for less than 50$, shipping and all.

And, if you get in good with some of the local studios, they may show you a thing or two. Not often, because they do not want people messing up and hurting themselves, but, if you go in and tell them you are curious about how it works so that you can judge the pain level and so on. That's kind of how I started learning.

I would suggest staying away from facial and genital piercing until you have a firm grasp on what is what, but it can be done at home with the right tools and sterilization.
