Folks,

One of the great things about this side of the site is that it's resulted in my prejudices being challenged and my mind opened on a number of occasions.

I'm willing to admit that I carry a lot of preconceptions and prejudices (let's face it, who can help that), but I do try to remain open to those prejudices being called on, and I'm committed to growing as a human being.

I've always shuddered at the concept of the "Pay pig". It bothers me more than a lot of other things. At the heart of it is the question "who the fuck would be that stupid, that weak, that pathetic that they'd hand over money to a complete stranger in return for absolutely nothing?

C'mon team, open my mind!

I rationalize it as, if somebody has the funds to throw away carelessly and do not spend it in more productive and helpful ways but instead use it to "spoil" some random person online that they share little of a relationship with outside transaction deserve to be called out and ridiculed endlessly.

Yes, yes, I'm aware... "your kink isn't my kink" and all that but we'd be telling ourselves a lie if we said that we did not think some of these kinks were not... in layman's terms... fucking dumb.

I would say that wasting time worrying and ridiculing about what other people do with their valuable time and hard earned money is pretty pathetic in itself, time being money - and fucking dumb, since you're giving away for free what other people are getting paid to do, lol.

Do any of those actually in reality exist?

That's my thought. I don't think there are any men who send gifts and cash to random pictures/accounts on the internet, and then walk away from the laptop feeling good. I think that the vast majority of so-called "Pay Piggies" expect something back: A degrading phone call, a condescending email, a picture, a nice chat. Nobody just gives away money to a random stranger without getting some kind of interaction with that person, probably in the form of degradation or praise for being such a "good pay piggy."

I can understand the appeal of paying for another person. I love treating my partner to dinner, or to any other kind of date. But I enjoy making him happy. I couldn't get the same satisfaction from giving cash to a stranger. For me, giving gifts is just like giving a massage or cooking a meal.

But I guess the pay piggies get some humiliation out of it, and perhaps a sense of subordination. While I can certainly sympathize with that view (Didn't xXblushesxX say something like, money is the ultimate power in another thread?), I wouldn't feel more subordinant to my partner if he ran my bank account. Don't know why. I just don't associate being rich or having my money as making you dominant and/or badass.

It's really a silly question, they're getting something, value is being created and exchanged, it's a social exchange, and social exchanges have value, there wouldn't be all these people in here looking for "the one" if any 'ol hole or vaguely phallic object was sufficient.

Puh-leeze. I think this thread was started as semi-ill conceived satire, but it's turned into self-satirical pit of narcissistic self congratulation.

Oh well, that's what I get for lookin', huh?

Another Ten minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Yes, their hard-earned money that they freely give away to any person that simply says they accept tributes.  Wow Xssve, I'm certainly glad you shed the shell of stupidity that you pay-pigs coccoon yourselves within.

xssve -> RE: Are all "Pay Pigs" just desperate little losers? (1/29/2012 4:06:10 PM)

I think I mentioned I'm not a pay pig, it's a luxury I cannot afford. [:(]

Judging from the findommes who complain about the fakes, they are rare indeed.

Not getting anything in return is what they get in
return. Not very mysterious.

There are actually men (we call them hit and runs) who give money and/or gifts without ever contacting the woman he's doing it for.
You'd have to ask them the reason why.
But they do actually exist.

I enjoy putting smiles on the faces of random strangers.  It seems as though it would be an added bonus if I could add a sexual thrill on top of natural empathy.

Not my kink though.  I've never done the hit and run, or been a finsub in other ways.  But I've bought a CD because of a YouTube video, and I've subscribed to a porn service because of the front page.  It doesn't seem mysterious that a man might want to reward a woman for posting something on the net that he liked.

Now that, I believe, is a good reason. The mystery continues to unravel...

Which again makes me say, "Why not do something/put your money to a more noble cause?"  Sure, some of those animal/child ads are scams but do you honestly think a majority of these "findoms" are the person in the picture?  It is either a manbeast of a woman, or a guy outright.

I noticed in your first sentence you added in the inclusion of a sexual thrill.  That is what it is all about in the end: it isn't about putting a smile on a stranger's face.  It's about being a little more creative with your prostitution options.  Money is arguably the greatest "power" to have in this world.  But don't for a second delude yourself to thinking that somebody handing it out to you is not going to one day say, "You owe me."

Because that is what these "clients" are: perverted little dregs.  Don't paint them anything different.

I used to live in a rural area in Texas.  My own water, burned the trash, septic and a commercially built dirt road.  I was pretty sure no foreign country wanted to invade that area... so I felt the same way about paying taxes.

Well for that matter, can't the same be said for Masters: they must feel so weak, unattractive and insecure that they have to chain a woman and brutalize her into submission? I honestly don't recommend 'pop psychology' as a kink in this lifestyle...
