yes, I am in College, a freshman. I am enrolled in an English class, it is a a very fast 6 week semester. I have papers due every week, I have finished three of them already. my issue is I am having problems with this paper number four, 1000 words. Extended Definition the word.. Self Satisfaction I was wondering if any one here could share what their meaning of Self Satisfaction would be... what would be a cause or effect, or is there a beginning , middle or end to self satisfaction.. any help would be useful. NO I am not looking for anyone to write my paper for me .. I just need some help with ideas and how i can convey what is self satisfaction.. Thank You in advance.. SBG

Self satisfaction has a nuance of smugness, of complacency in it. I might extend the paper by comparing it to the definitions of self esteem, confidence etc if you can't get enough otherwise. Try a thesaurus for other synonyms and talk about the differences. And no, giving you a couple of ideas is not the same as writing it for you. Sometimes you just hit a block. Good luck.

Sometimes just writing and brainstorming will bring about an idea for you. Just start writing all your thoughts down on the subject, don't filter anything and write for 10-15 min without stopping. Look it over and see if anything catches your imagination We often did pre-writing exercises in class before starting a paper. Look up "pre-writing" exercises or techniques online and see what you get and then do some of them.

Pride combined with complacency. It makes me think of the high school captain of the football team that you see at your 20 year reunion that has never done anything else with his life, but is still reliving the winning touchdown.
