I'm not saying I agree with the OPA, but the writer of the article apparently doesn't understand the difference between publication and private activity. 

Pornography is, as indicated in the article is becoming more accepted as an acceptable facet of life for people.  Realistically though, there does need to be some kind of regulation/guidelines on what is acceptable.  Why?  Because snuff films shouldn't be legal, neither should child porn.  Yes, these things are covered in other areas of law, but for people who are engaging in activities like that, as a society, we want to cover all the possible bases to be able to prosecute such things.

There was a case in Australia where an act was illegal (in this case, inducing abortion) but the jury still found them not guilty. Community attitudes change.
