Aww...Sweetie! I've just checked out your profile. You do seem like a nice kid. To paraphrase the best advice: Be patient, be persistent, get a hold of your backbone. Get over your distaste of crowds (if that's an issue) and go meet people. Munches are a great, safe way to do just that. They tend to be held in public and most convo is*very* vanilla. There's no pressure to submit to anyone (except for the odd arsehole or two who have no social skills. But, you find them in *any* crowd.) Leave your expectations at home.
I would also say, be honest with prospective Dominas regarding yourself - your interests, goals, abilities and relative knowledge and experience (not just in BDSM). And, yes, perhaps look into earning a little more scratch - not to "impress the ladies," but to support yourself better! I wouldn't be able to consider a submissive if he had virtually no income, not because he is poor - I'm kinda poor (it's in my profile!) - but, because he would appear to have no real ambition. It's important for me, at least, to be confident that my intended wouldn't be an added financial burden.
