TrekkieLP -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (3/16/2012 6:04:16 PM)

My dad tells me that, decades ago, when he was an Air Force officer in Minnesota and similar frozen wastelands, that every so often, the folks in the nearby town wold decide that they were tired of this military base outside of town. They drink. They make noise all the time. They date our women. They're everywhere.

And, when they did, the airbase's standard PR move, to deal with the resentment of the townspeople, was to pay everybody on base with $2 bills.

That way, at the end of the day, (and every day thereafter, for weeks), every business in town, at the end of the day, would look in their cash register drawers, and they'd see a graphic demonstration of how much money they got, today, from the Air Force Base. Or how much money they got from somebody who got his money from the base. And so on.

And the complaints about the Air Force base would all go away.

Either he's stupid/young and doesn't remember $2 bills or doesn't know they're legit.

Or he thinks you're too young to know they're legit or thinks you're not smart enough to catch on.

Either way, delete and block. Stupid people are just too easy a target to even mess with. lol

~FR~
At the library, we routinely get dollar coins and $2 bills. Fortunately my staff is swift enough to know that they are actual legal tender/valid currency. Perhaps management at banks, stores etc. should fill the staff in on this information. But, since there are those who don't see to know.....maybe it's just me but I don't see the joy in fuckin' with minimum wage bank tellers and cashiers. And, as has been mentioned a couple times, god help the folks who would have to stand waiting behind someone doing it. The only thing close as far as irritating are those folks who want to win that "exact change award" by counting out each and every cent[8D]

3 dollar bill might have been more apropos. He dated himself as well as there was a period when that WAS a saying, a few decades back

If you really want to mess with a cashier, go to the bank before your [purchase and get some 'deuces'. Most banks will have a small supply.

When you make your purchase, use the bills. Modern cash registers don't have a place to put them and some younger clerks will think they're counterfeit.

ONLY do this to someone who has shown they deserve the treatment and don't have people in line behind you.

I've done that! To a particularly snarky lady at the local Walgreen's who, for some reason likes to fuck with me (I went in with a gift card and purchased some soda and snacks for a football game and wanted some cigarettes. She got on the phone, called the manager and pointed out that cigarettes couldn't be purchased with the gift card STORE policy, not company policy. I wound up getting an apology).

Anyway, I went in there with two $2 bills and a bunch of dollar coins, just to fuck with her. She's from another country and I don't think she had ever seen the bills. She was staring at them, running the little laser thingy they use to check for counterfeit bills. It was hilarious!

Of course, my only comment was: "The ink should be dry, by now?"

Peace and comfort,

Michael

hmmmm, I wonder if the ink is dry, NOW 3/17/2012

HaHa that made me laugh...

SR and I had a rather amusing back and forth a while back. I'll keep the particulars private, I will say it gave me a chuckle at first before it turned into a train wreck. [;)]

i get "wanadoms" asking me to show this show that or do this do that (on cam) even before they have told me about themselfs or experince...i get men who want to chat online at a certian (normally at night) and they dont show up (which really annoys me because at 10 im tired and alittle cranky and have to get up early in the am and to not show up that just shows what kinda of peice of crap u are....I get request in my mail too (can you do this for this?) ummmm NO! I get guys pouting because i wont do what they want and some have been really nasty saying i "wasnt a real submissive" or i "wasnt being very submissive" just because i didnt do what they said lol I mean come on would u tell someone u didnt know what to do in person? No!! they seem to get all cheely because their is no concequences online (this doesnt just apply to this site it applys to most cam chat sites) it can be very irritating!!

kalikshama -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (3/28/2012 10:56:33 AM)

I wouldn't waste my time chatting or camming with anyone with whom I did not have a real life relationship.

I don't own a cam and my CM chat feature is permanently blocked.

Endivius -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (3/28/2012 4:23:53 PM)

I don't cam, and i limit my time online chatting. I'd much rather spend the time face to face to find out what kind of chemistry is there. Meet up for coffee or tea in a nice public place and treat it like a regular vanilla date; see how she treats people around her, that kind of thing. If there's a spark, go from there. That's how I do it, to each thier own.

TNDommeK -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (3/28/2012 5:35:34 PM)

Sometimes cam verification works, especially if they are far away. I usually make sure I say "nothing sexual" because I get a lot of people who think I'm about to cyber with them. But that's what it would be for..verification. And I agree with Endivius, to each their own.

I always refused to cam, period. I shouldn't have to prove who I am to have a conversation.

DJCatoose -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (6/9/2012 9:40:42 AM)

Hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but it made me giggle. I used to bartend at a strip club, and instead of one dollar bills, we would give out 2 dollar bills. The dancers loved it because it theoretically meant double stage tips, and the guys loved it cause "OMG 2 DOLLAR BILLLLZZZZ!!" We got at least 100 new ones every day, so yes, they were still being printed as of 2 years ago when I worked there. Whenever I saw somebody in public with a bunch of 2 dollar bills, I laughed and knew exactly where they had been.

thedavezone -> RE: Fake as a Two Dollar Bill (6/16/2012 8:13:30 AM)

Yes, two dollar bills are quite real. They were discontinued for a while but then they came back.
