LOLOL, I love that line too, Endivius. OMG, I feel like I started something here that turned into something else, but it's all good, even though it has nothing to do with my OP. I'm smiling, and that is a good thing.

And once again, I have NOT been here since 2005, I only signed up a couple of months ago, but I do have an email going to to the appropriate person to see if they can reset this for me. I don't want all of you to think I've been here for like 7 years and know nothing yet, lol. I think it's because someone else had my username, bla, bla bla

Yeah well... take heart oregongirl. I've been here for something like 4-ish years and I know next to nothing. So if someone gives you a hard time about it you can at least say, "Well yeah, but I'm not the only one.."

Ha ha! I think I will steal that one, love it! That's what I love about these message board, and BTW, where else here would be a good place to visit to just browse and find other interests of others and advice? What thread would you recommend? I think this one is about really over the top with many pages. What is the longest thread you have seen here? :)

There's humorous ones that go on for years. I just saw one in one of the off-topic forums that was 2k pages long.

On a more serious note, each person will get something from the RIGHT thread(s) for them. If you want, the most instructive and useful thread for me in the years I've been reading here was this one.

If you told your slave... (I think)

I'm not 100% sure that's the right thread because I can't find the right comments from agirl on it (and I thought the right one went 70+ pages)... but the thread explored the limits of theoretically limitless authority transfer by positing a situation which was obviously bad in any number of ways (stripping in a public restaurant -- think vanillas and children present). It really helped Carol and I move forward. But I think that the value I derived from it was specific to my own circumstances and relationship and almost certainly aren't relevant to you. The same thing I valued on the thread was overwhelmingly rejected by the other participants as utter insanity. Welcome to the human condition :)

In terms of places to visit, the other major contender is fetlife. It has a very different structure which in some ways offers advantages and in other ways not.

Thanks Poise, I found here and sent her a message. Gotta love this message board from people that are so helpful. Now how can I be helpful to you? or anyone else for that matter? Need some volunteer work? I can type 70 wpm and I am usually pretty computer savvy, just wondering if there is a service job here, oh probably not the right time, as I got so much to do with job search and finding out how to re-do all my profiles, etc. But my aim is to help. I want to pay it forward.

Wow! I only saw the first page because I gotta life, but it was so interesting to see other people viewpoints. I hope I remember to view the next 5 pages, lol. Yup. I use that software every day in my job. It's $50, and I can grab ANYTHING shown on a screen, even text and pictures that a website blocks from being copied through highlighting and copying.

DomMeinCT - I already have contacted Poise on her Cm profile page (Hi Poise!) I also agree that your profile and pics are very classy and I want to sort to follow suit with that type, and of course edit to what I am about..

I need to be more creative and do a signature here, but not tonight. I'm beat! Ya know, I love this thread, but I think I will start another, unless one of you points me to a another great thread that has to do with newbie questions. You'll find alot of "newbie" questions in Ask a Submissive or Ask A Master, and even some in
BDSM Discussions. Be aware that there are page numbers at the top right of each thread that
will allow you to read older posts, but it is frowned on to reply to any that are over than 3 months old.
There are also fun threads further down the page, such as Off Topic and Humor and Games.
