Maybe the reason you're not getting what you're not getting is that no one, NO ONE, has yet stated that Zimmerman attacked Martin
Ummmmmmmmm....NO!

Actually, several folks have but it's still up in the air as to who initiated the conflict.

Owner59 -> RE: The Good, the Bad, and the Money (3/27/2012 8:52:36 AM)

We know he chased the kid....from the 911 tape.

We know he asked the kid who he was.....ie confronted the kid.....with a gun......from the tape.

I guess the coalition without answers needs to explain what they would do...........if a stranger with a gun chased and confronted them at night?

But we aren`t hearing the coalition`s answers.....

So, because the young man wasn't perfect it was legal to hunt and kill him?

So, because the facts/truth belie the young man's "perfect kid" image it's not okay to make them public?

BTW: As pointed out in the OP, evidence and witnesses belie your opinion that the young man was hunted down and killed.

Bullshit.

These are the uncontested facts:
Zimmerman was in his car when he saw Martin walking through his neighborhood
Zimmerman left his vehicle to pursue Martin on foot
Zimmerman shot and killed Martin after some sort of confrontation

IOW Zimmerman hunted Martin down and killed him.

I don't get the same meaning between "following" as according to the 911 call and "chase" as according to your spin.

I didn't know we knew all that. You mean he confronted the kid and he happened to have a gun on his person or he brandished the weapon in a threatening manor ?

Moonhead -> RE: The Good, the Bad, and the Money (3/27/2012 11:29:29 AM)

Maybe he was just ghosting the lad until he pulled his gun?

There is nothing to suggest that Zimmerman confronted Trayvon with a gun. And ironically enough, Trayvon would likely be alive if he had. Because you don't punch a guy in the face if he's holding a gun on you. I've had the feeling from the start that bad judgment on both sides contributed to this, but it did not seem to me that Zimmerman would be able to meet the standard for a protected use of deadly force. At this point, however, I'm revising that opinion. Punching somebody out, jumping on top of them, and bashing their head into the cement is certainly sufficient to give virtually anyone a "reasonable belief" in grave bodily injury.

psst. DomKen, don't ask him, ask fargle!
[;)]

In fact, I demand that fargle start a thread about the bullets.

DomKen I guess it boils down to was Zimmerman knocked down...noise broke and head beat against the ground. If that is true then the kid did NOT beat him up with a bullet in his body. He had to be shot either during the struggle or after the fight but only AFTER the kid beat him up.

Do you see another way?

I see two stories and until a proper investigation is completed either could be true.

If Trayvon was beating him so savagely that he needed to respond with lethal force why was he not hospitalized afterwards? Why not at least a trip to the ER for stitches?

Well it had damn well better be during, not after, or Zimmerman is toast. The law is clear. There is no blanket protection for the use of deadly force, despite the wild nonsense certain clowns are posting. The circumstances must support a reasonable belief that the use of deadly force was necessary to prevent imminent death or grave boldily harm. Immediately an aggressor discontinues his aggression, the use of deadly force against him ceases to be protected.

So if your attacker only followed you......that would make all the difference?

Maybe OJ`s lawyers did it all wrong......

He should have admitted to cutting Goldman`s throat and stabbing Nicole to death with a knife but said it was "in self-defense"....Get it?

That, would be more believable that Zimmerman`s claim......OJ could have claimed it was two against one......right?

And where`s the evidence Zimerman was hurt?

He went home without a mark.A desparate man trying to cover his guilty ass could have banged his own head up after going home. That`s a no brainer.....

The blood on the shooter?

He just fucking shot someone......duh......of course there`s blood.

Where is the evidence that Zimmerman attacked Trayvon? Are you getting that from one of your comic books?

I spent 26 years teaching karate.......I know what attack means and I know what defense means.

Your(George`s) story is so fucked that you`re all bending over backward to explain it.

If I had just killed a kid I might be tempted to make up a OJ-style defense too.

Please, just don`t ask us to be as gullible.

We`re going to need just a bit more than the killer`s word.

Nobody's asking you to be gullible. Just to consider a man innocent until proven guilty, and to consider all of the evidence whether or not you like where it leads. If you'd get your nose out of those comic books you're reading, you might have something besides fantasies and non-sequiturs to contribute.

The OJ comparison is a long stretch. Lay off the KoolAid
