In a development all too often seen, neighbors say they saw the signs coming. "He was kinda strange, but we figured just a wannabe looking for attention, harmless enough," says a next door neighbor. "I noticed he would start threads on a topic, and then just start new ones on the same topic, often the same day, over and over," reports another neighbor. 911 had asked him to stop, but police say there's no law against him doing that. "Some people are just assholes," adds the Chief. "We can't arrest every looney with an Internet connection." But when small insanities lead to toting guns on Neighborhood Watch, the patterns become all too clear.
