Robert Zimmerman's answer to the questions about the irregularities in George Martin's failure to be arrested the night he killed Trayvon Martin was, "No one knew that I was a retired magistrate judge. I didn't mention it to the police. I didn't mention it to the state attorney's office."

Maybe he didn't have to because George Zimmerman never let anyone forget who his dad was in the first place?

Observe how Robert Zimmerman DOES NOT DENY talking to the Police and the DA

Is there any indication whatsoever that the father used his former status as a judge to exert pressure on either or both the police custody and the prosecution of his son?

Is there any indication that he'd need to make any specific effort to do so, rather than just leaving the police department to do so on their own initiative?

If I had to guess, the police department was already well aware of who Robert Zimmerman is....

Well, every single cop I know, when asked says that the moment you establish all the elements to charge a crime, you type it up and drop the guy off in jail to wait for his arraignment.

Which didn't happen after the cops established everything they needed to charge Manslaughter. And that was noteworthy enough for the cop who wasn't allowed to charge manslaughter to file an affidavit documenting that he tried to, but was stopped.

So there's that.

The police department wouldn't have put up with all of George Zimmerman's other antics otherwise, don't you think?

No. It does not because that never happened. Source is the MSNBC web posting here: http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/02/justice/florida-teen-shooting/index.html

OOPs again.

These made up "facts" are so easy to shoot down. All one has to do is think to yourself, "hey, does that make any sense?", and of course someone at that level personally interceding for Zimmerman, son of a judge or not, makes absolutely great TV drama for one of those network crime shows but no sense otherwise.

I'm begining to thnk serously, I mean really, that most of this is what I call the C.S.I. factor, with everyone scewed up in their thinking that real crime and police work actually look like those T.V,. programs. Boy, if I thought that when I was growing up, I'd just be saying, "just the facts, ma'me". Hmmm...come to think of it, that is exactly what police work is about.

"Just the facts, ma'me".

"A source with knowledge of the investigation into the shooting of Trayvon Martin tells theGrio that it was then Sanford police chief Bill Lee, along with Capt. Robert O'Connor, the investigations supervisor, who made the decision to release George Zimmerman on the night of February 26th, after consulting with State Attorney Norman Wolfinger -- in person.

Wolfinger's presence at the scene or at the police department in the night of a shooting would be unusual, according to the source. On a typical case, police contact the state attorney's office and speak with an on duty assistant state attorney; they either discuss the matter by phone or the on duty assistant state attorney comes to the crime scene - but rarely the state attorney him or herself."

Either the Police chief or the State's Attorney is lying.

Which is it?

Better read it again. There is no proof, just that those involved are not confirming it.

(CNN) -- An "outraged" Florida prosecutor fired back on Monday at the family of Trayvon Martin, describing as "outright lies" their account that he and a local police chief met and decided not to follow a detective's advice and arrest the teenager's killer.

This is not proof.

Then he can explain under oath why the detective filed an affidavit claiming otherwise...
