If and when you do get pierced, make sure a professional does it. It really is an art and should be done by someone who knows what they are doing. There is an Association of Professional Piercers and their site (www.safepiercing.com) has links to professionals in your area.

Yes please make sure you have a professional piercer do it. It isn't as bad as it might sound. Genital piercing in general. I have my hood pierced and really it hurt less than most of my others. Way less than having my lip done. It really only took about two weeks to heal. Something you may want to keep in mind is that while it may seem mostly healed it will be a while before it can really be played with. I've had mine about 8 months and can pull on it a tad with out hurting myself. Accually it's kind of nice. :) I'm not sure exactly how far you plan to get pierced. I know that type of piercing tends to have a few variations. If you plan on getting more than one. (So you can be laced up) I wouldn't do more than like two at a time. It's a lot to take care of.
Mine was quick and not that bad and I walked out of the place just fine. :)

I find genital piercing very sensual, but that's me...unfortunately being diabetic is something i cannot think of...the healing would take too long and infection could play a big role...

I do wish that some Doms would understand that, i had a Dom a few years back and He kept going on about me getting my labia pierced, He didnt understand that i didnt do it cause of my diabetes and not because i wanted to disobey Him.

well i currently have an 8gauge in my hood (curved barbell), 12gauge in both my innerlabia (CBH), and 14gauge barbells in my nipples (straight barbells). i have had my hood piercing for 2 years now and it barely felt like a pinch, and its the one i love the most. that's why i have been stretching it so much. my labia hurt pretty bad...but it was nothing compared to my nipples (IT HURT!!!). my nipples i have only had about 8 months...and they are FAR from healing. i love all my piercings a ton though, and get lots of compliments everywhere i go when i show them off at fetish parties, etc. but definately have a professional do it. also, it is a good idea to have 3 different piercers examine your anatomy to see which piercings would be appropriate...(for example, many women dont have large enough hoods to pierce, so that could be a reason why she can't have it pierced, etc). make sure the piercing location shows you the proper sterile needles, autoclave, etc. before you make any decisions about getting your piercings done there. safety and cleanliness are IMPORTANT!! good luck!
