Regardless of what I believe, I was kind of surprise about 2nd degree murder, but then remembered that the DA will aim high and settle for less.

No there wont be. We heard the same thing here in Pitts... didnt happen.. not going to happen there. Just because people demand justice doesnt mean they are going to go riot when justice does its job.

I don't think the problem is people not wanting justice so much as that we're talking about a group which truly has been subject to conspiracies to oppress them. That sort of thing can make people a little paranoid that they're not getting a fair shake.

I agree with servantforuse on this one. If he's not found guilty, folks in that area, as well as parts of the state and nation will simply have a 'less confidence' in our form of goverment. The local police is were the fury stems from. The population in that area seems to hold very little if any confidence in the police's ability to handle problems. Doesnt help the police that there 'investigation' was closed mere minutes after it was open. Like someone wearing a blindfold, walking around the crime scene and stating they didnt see anything.

The jury will be the next hurdle in this case. If...

A) ...Not enough blacks are on it, and the decision is 'not guilty', the population will erupt into riots.

B) ...To many blames are on the jury, and the decion is 'not guilty', the population will think the whole thing is a shame, and riot in the streets.

C)...Not enough blacks are on it, but the decision is 'guilty', with a plea bargain, the populous will take it that the courts are just as spineless as the Stanford PD....and riot in the streets.

No, there is alot more issues that this case will bring forward. All of them unpleasent. If the jury does not find Mr. Zimmerman guilty, I suspect this will create such a backlash of anger and resentment for years to come in Florida. Politicans will try to tap it. Those wishing to push 'FEAR CARDS' will happily give the addresses to local gun stores. And who knows what happens after that.

No, at this point, unless Mr. Zimmerman is found guilty, by a court, it'll be 'Rodney King' all over again. The only notable except is, unlike California's numerous firearm laws, Florida is not quite as lucky. 'Angry People' + 'Ease of Access of Firearms' + 'Little to No Respect for the Goverment' = 'Bad News for Florida'.

I really dont envy Florida. They created that stupid, and extremely foolish concept 'Stand Your Ground'. And now they'll have to pay the price for that foolishness.

If we are persistant in typing zimmermans name enough, eventually the google bots will catch on in a month or so. When you google zimmerman from then on links of collarme chat will appear in the top of everybodies search in the world. And soforth all links with zimmerman will forever be linked with farglebargle.

Actually, what drives the google bots is how many links there are to a page. So everyone needs to link back to FB's posts in every other post on here.
I support the plan though, once a lot of people find these forums, there will be a lot more folks on collarme proper, who never knew it existed. Chance to find more fellow travelers and hopefully someone compatible...
