ORIGINAL: Privileged I'm happy to say that when folks pull out the dreaded P words "you're a prostitute!" "that's porn!" I don't bother to debate with them. I simply do not care enough about the ramblings of fun snatchers. I can't say I wave a Girl Power flag 24/7 but, stuff like this really bums me out. Hee hee, well, I'll respond back, oh burning one. My analysis is that it's sociological. I haven't seen it in countries where prostitutes/whores are a legally protected laborer. In the US, there was even a case, maybe 18 months ago, where a law student was paying her tuition by escorting. A prospective client raped her, she reported the crime -- and was arrested for prostitution and expelled from law school for immoral behavior. Yeah. Also, in the US, it's generational. Women who came of age in the mid-90s and later are much more likely to see porn as a legitimate industry and potential career. In 1990, there were maybe 1,000 female porn actresses in the US. Now, there are about 1,000 new women entering the business each month. For those under 30, it's mainstream, and for those over 35, it's a horribly filthy business.
