I love messing with sensations like that! Though not everyone responds to ginger the same way!

And for those whoops moments--Dawn dish soap. If only I had known, when the wintergreen oil proved excessive. [8D]

(Gawwwwwd....and I haven't cleaned my house for weeks.....I have no hope).

I'll admit to be effing turned on right now.

In my experience the heat from the ginger/figging ceases when it's removed from the orifice. However re-freezing can bring back some of the heat. (yep, sounds counterproductive.)

George Costanza move over. Ginger beats cured meats. Figures as ginger considered as hot energy, yang.

I recently discovered this - which was a thrill since its been ages since I came across something new to me in this scene - I've used slices of ginger on my sub's clit, and made a butt plug of peeled ginger that is inserted when she takes the cane. She reports the sensation is very intense.

I'm curious if others here have explored figging, was it a positive experience, and/or have other creative ideas on the same line?

Without reading the other replies, I can assure you I adore it. Using a 2 fingered plug inserted in the obvious areas.. and a slice clamped on my clit causes instant Os. So, figging? Oh, hell to the YES!!!

(Is the grocery store closed already???)

*giggle*
I often used to wonder if people were watching me carefully trying to select just the right piece of ginger as I stood there in the produce department picking up each one and judging for size and shape "hmm, how well will this one peel, gonna be juicy enough?"

LOL

oh, p.s. pickled ginger you get from the sushi tray is about useless BUT fresh ginger pureed in a food processor mixes well with KY jelly for a nice bitey lubricant. Water based lube doesn't much interfere with the sensation like others do and makes for easier clean up after

This link shows how to carve the ginger and gives several tips on use, including fermenting the ginger first to increase the sensation.

Peel & let sit in fridge a couple days... It gets more intense.

Figging is the practice of inserting a piece of ginger root into the anus or vagina. Originally applied to horses as a form of deception as to the horse's condition, it now most commonly refers to a practice in BDSM.

Historically, this practice, also known as feaguing, was used to ginger up older horses in order to deceive the purchaser as to the age and condition of the horse, by having the animal hold its tail and head high and moving around nervously, characteristic of a younger horse.

The ginger, skinned and often carved into the shape of a butt plug, causes an intense burning sensation and discomfort to the subject.

"Figging...To treat a horse in such a way as to make the animal appear lively, as by putting a piece of ginger into the anus."

Actually, it's done to saddlehorses such as Saddlebreds, Morgans and Arabs before going into the show ring. It gets horses that don't carry their tail to carry their tail. It has nothing to do with health or vigor since these breeds tend to be "hot" anyway. It's done with a paste, not with a piece.

Makes sense because the active ingredient is the result, I'm told, of a chemical reaction.

Any chemists here who can explain?

if you freeze it ..it makes it burn just a tad hotter and is easier to carve. t
