I have done peircing on myself and learned to avoid shaft for vascularreasons a nd read it is easy to damage permanently. I do like the tip away from botoom and center and nipples done. I use alcohole unopened steril needles and wipe with alcohol and iodine mixture after for infection prevention and rthe healing isw almost instant. If a partner does it beyond rubber gloves is there another safety measure i should add?

also arethere speciaslized thin sterile nauils used in the japanese bdsm films wghere body parts are tacked on to woood? I assume soft would is needed for safe removal ut am curious of rest and ewould like to attempt tpo submit to it if a Dom showed interest.

Also with cutting do a lot of folks get infections? If done light is there still high risk of scarring?....if you want to flame me and direct me to look somewhere else could u just skip theflame part, I aknowledge I am ignorant telling me the obvious isnt worth the effort unless you enjoy it then go for ot

To me, the whole point of cutting is scarring. It doesn't have to happen, but the possibility is there. If you don't want a scar, don't do cutting.
As for precautions, I'd never give advice on how to do needle play or cutting online. You can look it up, but learning from a skilled practitioner will take you a lot further.
