For years I have said that my best guess was that 0bama0 was born in Hawaii. No more. 1. For years we "birthers" were ridiculed for demanding a birth certificate. We were told that we were less than idiots, because any idiot could look up the BC on line where 0bama0 had gone to the unprecedented length of posting it. Efforts to educate those to the different forms available from Hawaii fell on willfully deaf ears. 2. During those same years 0bama0 went (and still goes) to desperate lengths to avoid letting any court examine any evidence, hear any case, that might result in the court defining "natural born citizen". I assumed, giving 0bama0 the benefit of the doubt, that he worried the court would conclude- as I and many others have- that the proper definition of NBC would require both parents to be American citizens. That would, of course, render moot the question of where he was born. The new evidence shows that he had much more than his questionable (in several senses) paternity on his mind. 3. Then along came Trump, and his exuberant, unapologetic, very very loud embrace of birtherism. And- poof!!!- an alleged Hawaiian long form birth certificate appeared as though by magic (or fraud). As an aside, none of those who ever belittled us apologized for having called us idiots, racists, and fools even though the second form proved the worthlessness of the form they had been exalting. And then along came Sheriff Joe Arapaio, and his investigative posse. I'm not going to go into all of it; I'm not at all sure that I understand all of it yet. But the birth certificate is a fake. Short form: It was created digitally, in layers. As such, when it first appeared on the web, people downloaded it and deconstructed it, in layers. That cannot be done by the programs these people used if the image downloaded was a solid, printed form scanned into the web. Shortly after this was reported the White House (evidently) printed the form they had created and scanned it onto their website, replacing the digitally created image they had first put up. The obvious forgery exists, however, in tens of thousands, perhaps millions of downloads around the world. He's a fraud. Period. Arizona is threatening to keep him off the ballot. If even one state does, the reaction from the 0bama0 camp, and the waterfall effect from the other states, may finally get the issue heard in the courts.
