My submissive told me yesterday that she enjoys humiliation, but she was very shy with specifics as she likes me to figure out what humiliation means to her. It is a kind of game we play together, with various subjects. After several failed guesses (having no experience in this area myself.) I come to the submissives/slaves and anyone else who has real life information or experience, to ask: What humiliates you in just the right way to drive you over the edge with lust, desire, submission or passion??? Please be specific...I can be kinda dense sometimes.

Whats going to humiliate one submissive wont for another. It is really going to depend on her personality, her perspective, her upbringing, her life experiences and how she has processed certain things. I could be asked to do lots of things that would make lots of peoples hair curl and I wouldnt even blink an eye, yet Master just saying "thats enough" to me in front of anyone else would be enough to humiliate me. So basically you have to get to know her to be successful in your endeavour.

I am not motivated by this kink as i was when I was younger, but there are different types of humiliation there is verbal humiliation... talking to her in a way that is degrading in some form. If this is her kink you may be able to find out by saying humiliating things to her while you are being sexual. Objectification humiliation is similar to verbal, but you are treating the submissive as an object to be used physical humiliation can be things such as making the submissive do things that degrade them such as serve as furniture, treated like an animal, not allowed to sleep with you and this sort of thing. If I were you I would start with calling her names such as "slut" "whore" "bitch" and then slowly try the others and see what your sub responds to.

Jali, thank you for your reply. I do agree with the points you made, what you said about your Master was one of the things I mentioned to her, but I think she is thinking more about sexually humiliating things. I do know her well, considering the short time we have known each other, but humiliating someone is something I have been trained all my life not to do, so it kinda baffles me.

Some "milder" forms of humiliation might include crawling, name calling (which some like and some don't), body writing, to name a few. Hope that helps. And as the others who have posted have already indicated, humiliation is extremely subjective.

Some like the name calling, others like to have things done to them in public like having me unbutton their blouse or tell them to go inot the bathroom at a bar and remove their bra or panties. others like to be objectified and used just as an object for me to spank or tie with rope and then told how I will let them be used by others. To me it has to do a lot with the mental aspects of D/s and BDSM. Use your mind to get to their mind. Try different things and see what happens with her. Good luck!!

Thank you my friend, all very good ideas, and I agree completely that the mind is a terrible thing to waste! We do many of the things you mention, and she loves them all...she is a very naughty slut! I guess my problem is that i don't see any of those things as humiliating...Of course I am the one directing and doing, not being done to. Humiliation/mortification is personally not my thing. It is (in the true sense of the word) basically a feeling that by depriving oneself you will be brought spiritually to a higher level. You've already gotten some good answers ... but it's a big subject & I doubt if any of us will get it all. What is "good" is what she (& you) enjoy. Obviously "humiliation play" runs the gamut from feeling self-conscious, through embarrassment & humiliation, all the way through to degradation (I know I've missed a few significant graduated words between.) And, as has been said ... what is humiliating in a good way is totally dependant upon how she was brought up & past experiences. Often related to what she was taught was 'dirty.' OR, less frequently, it can be related to a Hx of abuse or rape. AND, you can key off of the personalities of her parents ... if Dad was very verbally abusive, that might be a key. If she got OTK spankings, or corner time, that might be her thing. It might be merely a privacy thing ... don't let her close the bathroom door. And, of course, she might be all the way into GS (and if she won't tell you ... you can try it in the shower (start by peeing on her chest or back ... you can progress from there if she likes it) .... i have conversations regarding humiliation all the time. i find the word humiliation has a negative connotation so when asked if i find something humiliating and i LIKE it, then it is not humiliating, right? Well, no ... it is considered humiliating by many so it is therefore humiliation. i think it is easier to determine what is humiliation if it is broken down into other categories. i enjoy it when Master lifts my shirt in public ... i see that as more exhibitionism than humiliation. i enjoy Master talking about me as if i were not there ... that's more objectification. i think the only thing Master has ever done that i would truly consider humiliation and only because i can find no other category for it (i did soooooooo LIKE it) was when He grabbed my collar in the middle of a store and pulled me along by it. i read the post about going into a bathroom to remove underwear ... how is it humiliating if no one else knows?
