My favorite cable channel, MSNBC, informed us the Congressional Black Caucus is "providing guidance" to black preachers. This "guidance" provides rules on what they can and cannot say to their flocks on political matters.

Did the black preachers ask for guidance from the Obama Administration and is this really about silencing black preachers to prevent their preaching against gay marriage which it feels will lower black voter turnout in November?

Actually the CBC is getting preachers to encourage their flocks to get registered to vote and to work to make sure they can vote under the new voter suppression laws being passed by so called conservatives.

If you had actually read the MSNBC article or seen the MSNBC coverage you would have known this. The only possible conclusion is you believed some part of the right wing hate media lies or you lied yourself.

Really? I saw the coverage this morning. It said exactly what I said. Still, the the website might be more verbose and so I would apprciate you taking the time to fill in the blanks to support that position.

Sounds like a failed attempt at seeming clever or smarmy with people. Just remember you asked in a public setting. People are bound to give their opinions.

What is non-factual about my post? How does stating facts and the truth seem "smarmy" to you? And what is "smarmy"?

All of it, near as we can tell.  What truths?  What fact(s)?
Perhaps you would point them out.

You know, after reading you post a second time I realize you are discussing a seperate news story. Perhaps you googled CBC and got that. This morning, in contrast, the senator specifically said this "guidance" is to keep black preachers from endangering their non-profit status by preaching on political subjects. My guess is political subjects is code for "gay marrage", but hey.

you didn't, I did.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34009206/ns/politics?q=Congressional%20Black%20Caucus

There is a search of MSNBC with articles containing congressional black caucus, perhaps you could point us to the actual article, and not your disingenuous attempt at folderol.

Hey, I could be mistaken, I never go to that site, but I am sure you can point me to it.

The OP is essentially not being honest. The "Faith Leaders Summit" is about concerns about the "backlash preventing voter access" which is a DOCUMENTED PHENOMENA that has/is actively debated here

See the video calling Faith Leaders "to duty" describing this effort. It implies NOTHING of what our 'honest as the day is long' OP seems to be hinting at... Or is voter participation a bad think if you're black?: http://youtu.be/LRll4q2v9aY

Perhaps the OP is part of the concerted effort to undermine the black vote.

Have A Nice Day

Why would you think me dishonest when I actually quoted the newsclip and gave the source credit? MSNBC did not discribe it exactly as I wrote it except for my written perception that based on the timing and the nature of the quidence then it appears the goal is to suppress preachers from preaching against Obama's position and therefore suppressing votes for Obama. But admittedly I might have a biased opinion and expect others who have researched this to chime in with echos or contrasting opinions. I would not epect to be called a liar.

Correct. And this tells us? Class?

Oh, we have already established I am not "Gorean". You still hurting from that post? You should get over it.

Not Gorean eh. THAT's why you've made hundreds of posts on the Gorean threads in the past.

Seriously, in the OP, you made a claim. You have thus far refused to document it. If you expect anyone to take your claim seriously, you need to show something resembling documentation.

Otherwise, people will just assume it's more made up crap in P&R.

I am COMPLETELY within the terms of service my friend referring to the content you posted as the bullshit it is, is commonly referred to as disagreement. You weren't called any names and your facts were challenged, dismissed and even laughed at.
So-called conservatives like yourself do it all the time. The issue here is that you can't handle it when your own style lands back in your lap.
You are in violation of the T.F.B.

I believe the OP is part of many things. Yep, I do.

And, I have not been able to find anything that confirms his OP.

So much not comfirmable (is that a werd) with him. He is a true mystery man.

Arturas, I searched the MSNBC site using "caucus" and "Congressional Black Caucus" and missed the article/clip. Could you provide a link?

When did the Congressional Black Caucus become part of the Obama Administration? Isn't the caucus in a completely different branch of government?
