Which "lesser of to evils" do you think you'll vote for?

I'll go with Wall Street. At least then I'll have a chance of seeing a return. The govt steals it before you even see it.

That argument might hold some water when Wall Street starts providing a few of the same services your government "steals" taxes to fund. You know, lefty crap like emergency services, roads, and that social infrastructure stuff that libertarians rarely refuse to use, however much they enjoy bitching about having to pay for it if anybody else can use it as well...

I'm living very nicely on dividends and interest paid monthly by those evil corporations. No government income as of yet.

It looks like you've thrived these past 3+ years. I'm frankly surprised you'd wish for different leadership.

Actually I retired 5 years ago during the Bush Administration. Locked into a very nice annuity ( 7 % )..

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 5:49:50 PM)

I am honestly thinking that, for the first time in 32 years, I may not even vote this November. It just seems to me that we are fucked, no matter what, and I am tired of voting for the lesser of 2 evils, instead of someone that I really think can and will do something good for our country.

Gawd, even typing that is depressing!

servantforuse -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 6:10:05 PM)

I felt the same way in November of 08. Voted for McCain and not Obama. I wished I had a real conservative to vote for.

Karmastic -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 7:23:26 PM)

oh, well, O fer sure. the reality is, they're both beholden to the same 1% who have all the connections and drive world economics. but i like O's show better than the other guy's show.

servantforuse -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 7:37:25 PM)

If you like Obama you must be pleased with 40 months in a row with unemployment over 8 % ? That's a new record.

Karmastic -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 7:45:47 PM)

oh yeah, i'm very pleased with that. i also liked it* before the big O took office.

NEXT!

* long periods of high unemployment

That's fascinating, what do you suppose it means?

servantforuse -> RE: Which "lesser of to evils"? (6/4/2012 7:56:31 PM)

I know, it's Bush's fault, even after nearly 4 years.

Ain't got much in the way of criteria this year DO YA?

Well please, even if you have to vote to vote against me... please vote.
Cause I don't think any of us will be able to stand your vitriolic "If I had voted things would be different" speeches.

which pales next to the record of how low bush2 took us without actually causing a depression. OR DID HE?

I think your guy will actually go down in history being very closely compared to Hoover. Except Hoover will edge him out for leadership by a few points.

40 months? it wass June 4 when you wrote this so 3 years and 4 months is Feb. 2009. How precisely could Obama have reduced the unemployment rate 11 days after he was worn in?
