In the past few years, I've met a number of people from CM. It is still a site to be used to meet people. The amount of substance invested seems to match the amount returned.

CM doesn't let people list their IM addys; it is just something that happens and when profiles are reported enough times then that stuff gets deleted.

Many of us (usually those of us who are patient and keep a good sense of humor as well as realistic expectations) do find what we are seeking here whether it is sharing experience and information, finding our play partners and/or in my case even finding my One.

Meanwhile I find it baffling that someone who is seeking does not write a profile describing what he is looking for or what he has to offer.
I doubt the "other site" will be any more helpful to you under those circumstances.

I am going to say there were probably a lot of things different in the good old days. But I have a different take on it.
In the good old days, there were more people who believed a line of crap from strangers.
In the good old days, anyone could stick a tag on themselves that said dom or sub or master or slave and people would take that at face value, regardless of whether they knew this to be true or not.
In the good old days, there was more gullibility and a lot more meeting strangers while wearing no undies, getting spanked in a hotel room and giving a BJ just because someone ordered it.

Ahh the good old days.. long gone because eventually most of those people found out that not everything everyone says is true.

Thank goodness.

The good old days? OK . . . let me choke down this 10,000 word rant and spit it out in a couple paragraphs instead. I cannot speak for CM, but I can share what I have observed:

1. CM does its best to keep bullshit fake posts that are just ads in disguise off the forums that aren't specifically for Professional Services.
2. They pull blatant and illegal "hooker's with a whip" ads from the profiles side.
3. They let those borderline "FinDom" profiles float because they aren't illegal and blackmail paypigs etc, is a kink that many CM members seek.
4. If you have email copies showing TOS violations and complain about the actual member conduct, not profile content, I have heard they will respond. Their response maybe to suggest you seek remedy with the proper authorities, but from what I hear, they respond.

If you are viewing ProDom profiles that have TOS violations and external links and didn't help CM by reporting the abuse, but you spent the time and energy to come here and complain instead . . . then the only thing wrong now-a-days is that you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. CM does not have the man power to police every profile, every post or every idiot that sends someone money. They respond to member's reports. There are report buttons everywhere:

So I agree, it's sad, very sad that so many people complain about the great free services here without ever using them to discover how hard the mods work at enforcing the TOS and how effective they truly are.

I've been on here for years. I don't post much, because I've noticed there are a good number of people who like to come to these discussion boards and attack and ridicule other people's opinions. I guess that makes them feel "dominant." There are about 30-40 of them who do this all the time. They need to get a life but, frankly, they don't have one and probably never will. That's why they do what they do.

It's sad, but there are a lot of insecure people in this world and CM doesn't have any magic filter.

BTW, that wasn't in reply to resident sadist. That was a reply to the OP.
