The VERY FIRST sentence in the article says....
A birth control gel for men sharply lowered sperm counts with few side effects, researchers reported Tuesday.
...and it goes on to mention side effects a couple more times such as....
that can produce side effects such as acne and changes in cholesterol levels.

either way.... i am not doing it..

whats wrong with a condom?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: birth control gel... for men? (7/7/2012 12:33:38 PM)

Because condoms are meh. And if you are monogamous or stick with your fluid bonded circle, it's nice not not have to deal with them.

Though me, I prefer to deal with one or two eggs that happen(ed) once a month than endless numbers of sperm.

good point Hibi,

but you see, some are talking that the birth control is (sexist) when its stuck up to women..
& why the male is not helping?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: birth control gel... for men? (7/7/2012 1:00:02 PM)

I agree the responsibility should be EVERYONE'S. And hello? STI'S? I am not convinced a reliable chemical/pharmaceutical male birth control method has been found. This one seems interesting.

ashjor911 -> RE: birth control gel... for men? (7/7/2012 1:08:21 PM)

no its not... coz:
- male should put the gel 6 hours before .... having sex....

(how a man would actually know if he is going to get any?... besides if the male get some after putting the gel... the gel "which is male hormons can get to the female")... you see... its not working alredy... (& some people here would use it as lube)....[>:]

- the gel would be rubbed on sholders, belly & ass cheeks.....which has nothing to do with the sperms..or even killing them.

Thankfully I don't have to worry about this problem anymore. lol

MercTech -> RE: birth control gel... for men? (7/8/2012 9:39:11 AM)

Note: it says "LOWERS" sperm count.

It only takes one.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: birth control gel... for men? (7/8/2012 10:38:44 AM)

Exactly, MercTech. If I were having sex, I would never take that chance. You're a parent forever.

(Wheezylaugh at the notion of me having sex...)
