I read from all the GOR books nightly from 9 to 12 est. Mon. thru Fri. in My Msn Chat room and anyone can come and read the words posted from the books at any time. Once You have read
the books the Alternate Lifestyle and way of Living that is a part of GOR becomes quite clear.

Nothing personal, but this is one fairy tale I just can't take as written. Perhaps it is because even though I don't believe Gor can be transferred well to Earth, I do believe those who follow what they see as the etho's written within the stories has honor and integrity. Most I have seen do believe the contention written within the books that sadism is a mental illness. It is why I can fully understand why there is so often desension between the factions of those who call themselves Gorean.

There are those (as I see Leondias) who see it as something as something *one is* at all times. Something that has to do with strength of character, honor, and entigrity. Something that has NOTHING to do with roleplay, sadism, games etc.

Then there are those like Dread that seem to alway clash with them. Why? They see no problem with roleplay. They think sadism is *ok*, rather than what it was claimed to be in the Gorean culture. They think it's perfectly acceptable for females to be *free* and whores,, with free companions, sex slaves and everything else they want. ::sighs:: I don't get it. I don't see where they ever catch all of that as acceptable in the Gorean culture or why they feel it's ok to totally tear apart those who chose to lead a Gorean lifestyle that do so according to the acutally culture portrayed within the books veruses their *play* style.

Personally, I say kudo's do this person who finally gagged on the role play and realized that they needed to either embrace a purer form of Gorean culture or get out of it totally.

Greetings this day ……Do You know what the sadism that is referred to actually was , if controlling slaves and interacting with slaves as a possession not a person is Sadistic then Yes there has been sadism …The slaves have the chance to leave , they are not forced to be in Gor , if they are not slaves and do not crave total control the days of forced slavery are long gone , they can leave .

I know Grey , if a Slave can lead a Master around then who is Master, This Man came to Gor to learn and was taken on and shown , He in fact was never strong enough nor was it in His character to be a Gorean Master but he wished to try .
Now it turns out He finally decides not to be a Gorean Master , well that’s is His decision but then to turn upon the hand that fed him making accusations , that is the act of a coward. I have no doubt you would consider it personal Dread. But, my point is and was the fact that he *woke and smelled the coffee* so to speak does not make him the joke you see to wish to display him. Other than role players, I have yet to meet anyone who seem to take much stock in the world of Gor *according to Dread*.... most would place that in the same field as the world of Earth *according to Garp*... one of those fun but fictitious places that has little stock in reality to any that are not there.

The fact that you gushed and gushed at how *wonderful* your companion was when he was willing to be what *you* wished and live within your personal *cyber* realm, yet you are fully willing to belittle him when he realized there is more to Gor than your narrow *cyber* and non book Gorean lifestyle view, shows how little you understand (from my understanding) the basic concepts of Gorean cultures. The fact that you would bring his desire to wish to stop living in what he came to feel a sad cyber world of Gor as something he should be criticized or condemned from seems a bit hypocritical on your part after comments made earlier this week to others (and you can feel free to figure them out yourself as you are the one who made them) to others about not accepting other's wish to mislead or lie about basics as gender,,, as if lying is acceptable as long as it is *only* play (even when all involved doen't know that).

I guess I just personally have higher standards for being true, honest, and consistent in what I feel and believe to understand the thoughts of those who find things better as role-play or the acceptance of those who live in the cyber worlds to antagonize and criticize those who have stronger convictions to be *real*.

And it was His cyber world not mine which was at issue. Those whom know Me know that I dont * cyber* as YOU call it. And I am NO Whore. You seem to have your *facts* as you call them E confused. Well my two cents on Dread's anger it seems to me stems not from the fact that he left or ended the relationship, but that he did it without honor and did not follow the protocols previously agreed to.

For example: I knew i was going to ask for release and had all the things packed that were in my home, that were my former doms. So in my heart i knew there was no question that for me it had ended, and release would be granted. Yet, the day he came over, i followed the protocol he had decided upon when we started. To me it was an honorable ending.

I am sure Gor has rituals and protocols in place for this sort of thing. And instead of ending the relationship following the protocols, he was dishonorable to himself and what they did share together, weather he believed it or not at the time things ended.

I don't really care too much about what happens in people's personal lives, wether its online or real time. I'm not gorean and I won't pretend to have any working knowledge of how the relationships function.

What does concern me is why this is being aired out in a public forum. If I have a problem with my slave, a former slave, an ex wife, etc. I take it up with them. The complete lack of respect for others and the lack of self discipline it takes to air out the dirty laundry of a personal relationship when things don't work out simply astounds me.

i know a lot of people have different opinions on GOR and it seems to be a highly con traversal topic when it ever comes into a thread. i don't understand a lot about Gor yet but am trying to learn.

However just wanted to say Mistress i am sorry that You were hurt, angered or upset in some way. I know Your a Survivor and i am sure You will do just that!

The way i feel about it is this is Your way of life and how You want to live it. Rather it is right for me or anyone else has nothing to do with it. Best of luck Mistress *smiles*

I agree with DREAD and also wish to say that the practices of GOR are not as in the past. It has become that of fantasy play comparable to Dungeons and Dragons once was. It seems as if A/any that wish to be of GOR seem to choose which GOREAN rules, protocals, practices, etc T/they will observe and practice. M/most do not realize that GOR is more than just occasional bedroom play and T/those that know and have learned GOR as Mistress DREAD and I do know of the HONOUR that GOR teaches (or has taught Me). I can only compare it to the HONOUR that the Japanese hold for life and treatment of others. The Japanese take great pride in Honouring T/their family, friends etc and also face T/their own shame in similiar ways. I use this analogy for T/those that aren't familiar with the GOREAN System of HONOUR. Mistakes are made by A/all as W/we are still human but to not learn and just give up and walk away from mistakes made is similiar to a Japanese teen killing his parents because of a disagreement and then saying to hell with man and country, I will do as I please. There is no HONOUR in quitting and giving up regardless of the situation or nationality, and for One to give up that which He has built, HONOURED, strived for, and supposedly lived for for so many years makes Me question if He was really true to the ideals that He has professed to and upheld for so long. To see Him being led and told "to do" by a supposed slave makes Me wonder and question which is actually the Top and which is actually the bottom. I hear that actions speak louder than words and must say that the actions in this instance do speak volumes.
