Sorry. I have too many quote responses. lol Thought I'd shorten it.

I'm not saying you are. I apologize if you thought I was. I wasn't looking closely enough at your posts and completely misunderstood TPE. Again, I apologize.

So this was a real time example of what the initial topic was. I really appreciate you adding that. I also completely understand why you cut it off. That is extremely risky. It seems like it would be very reckless for anyone to indulge her in that. To each their own, I guess. :/

Please tell me that my dumb ass didn't misunderstand again. '^_^

See, the thing is that underneath it all, it's still just a relationship...and folks don't stay in em, well healthy folks at least, unless they are getting something out of it.
Now it may be something as simple as the other person's company (I keep having a vision of that Friends episode where Ross made up a pro/con list of Rachel and the asian chick and Rachel found it...and there were many many pros for the asian chick and only one con-"she's not Rachel"... which outweighed all the other items on the list) but folks keep others in their lives because there is a payoff.

Think about friends you've dropped in the past and why.

What do you guys think?

If you are a sub who doesn't find the idea of "not being a liability" concerning: Are you not unnerved because you confidently believe that you can be only an asset? Do you think it is just silly and fantastic hyperbole?

I'm unnerved by double negatives (I had trubles with irrational numbers during my school days, too.. only thing that ever threw me in the numbers game) so I'm not sure if I'm answering the question you are actually asking with my response:

I'm going to put it this way - if Michael ever got it in his head to kick my ass to the curb I would immediately take him to the Emergency room. The man will have suffered some kind of massive head trauma resulting in brain damage.

If you do find it unnerving: Do you think many Doms actually believe a sub can actually not be a liability? Is it just formal speak to prove an underlying point to a sub who acts interested in the Dom?

Love and Hugs,
Spot-Brat

I think it's the exact opposite. Doms like to shop at Mor 4 Les and keeping someone who is a liability in their life just ain't the way things usually happen. Of course.. subs shop, too. [;)]

Geez louise, and I thought I had a propensity towards overthinking things, but you've got me beat there.

This is supposed to be fun and fulfilling. Don't overthink it, just enjoy. :)

I sense a sadistic streak in you.

I'm psychic that way. [8D]
