Touring internationally since 2008, Play Me, I’m Yours is an artwork project by artist Luke Jerram. Located in public parks, streets and squares, the pianos are available for any member of the public to play and enjoy.
The Toronto debut presentation of Play Me, I’m Yours is brought to you in part by CIBC, Lead Partner of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. From July 11th – 31st, 41 pianos will be installed throughout the streets of Toronto in celebration of the three-year countdown to the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.
The 41 pianos represent the 41 countries participating in the TORONTO 2015 Games and each has been painted by an artist from the country it represents.

I just thought this was cool, and they apparently are going down very well around town.
My daughter was telling me about a crowd of people surrounding piano players in the summer crush of downtown toronto.
I just thought it would be cool to share:)

If only this had been going on back in my piano tuning days!

Lots of practice to be had there. I should ring up the Piano Tuner's Guild in Toronto, but they're probably already aware.

Actually, people hate piano tuners (not that I blame them), from my experience, so it's likely that the PTG members would stay away in droves.

But in any case, yes, a really neat idea there. I hope many kids avail themselves of the opportunity. A much better keyboard experience for the kids than the one I'm typing on now, to be sure.
