Well, ladies, I'd agree, except I'd put long hair and bitten fingernails before smoking:

from a British website, 'Females First':
The biggest physical turnoffs about men:

#1) Beards: [:'(] 38% of women said this was the biggest turnoff

#2) Bad Breath: [X(] 27%

#3) Excessive Piercings: [:@] 16%

#4) Tattoos: 13%

#5) Smoking: 11%


Tattoos were the biggest turn-offs about women

Bad breath, bad teeth, lacking personal hygiene, drinking too much and being unreliable would top the list for me

I'd agree with numbers one and two. I'll keep number three as well, since they specifically used the word "excessive". (Some piercings would be fine with Me.) Number four wouldn't have made My list so I'm going to go with severe obesity. (Sorry, but it's the truth.) I can handle number five, so I'd go with bad/missing teeth, rather than smoking.

Yeah "sloppy" includes big old fat guys who can't find their waists. Or their peens. Because Shallow Hib is SHALLOW.

I'm the same.
Interesting that beards and/or bad oral hygiene squick us all out so much that severe obesity didn't make the top 5.
I actually dumped a guy I met on here because of his bad breath which even coffee and toothpaste couldn't hide.

Wow - a beard is the #1 turnoff?

I'm curious - why? What is it you don't like about a beard?

I like the feel of facial hair. (Someone else's - not my own. LOL) And I like that it's distinctly something different - something masculine.

I really don't LIKE beards, but my history says that they're obviously not a turnoff for me! Scruffy ones, totally a NO, like that guy that plays Alcide on TrueBlood? Needs barbering.

Fat, stinky guys are way worse than guys with beards. And that's before we've approached their intellects or personalities!

I dislike facial hair on prospective partners for several reasons: one, they scratch! two, most beards look and feel dirty, three, they're commonly worn by Asperger-trait types who don't 'get' appropriate social messaging which is a rock-hard limit for me, and four, guys with beards usually dress like IT types, that is, sloppy.
There's always the exception, and one partner kept his vandyke obsessively trimmed so it always looked smart and never felt 'cunty'.

Historical trivia: if anyone saw Kenneth Branagh portray the great engineer Brunel/read Caliban's speech in the Olympic opening ceremonies, the side-whiskers were also called 'buggerlugs' which would give you a proper double-handhold as you were giving your shirt-lifting boyfriend a right seeing-to.
And sad trivia, apparently some Americans thought he was dressed as Abe Lincoln. . .

My Top 5 Turnoffs are:

Bad hygiene (bad breath, body odor, etc.)
Fat (a little extra padding is ok, morbid obesity is not)
Lots of body hair (a little chest hair is ok, back/shoulder hair is [:'(], facial/pubic hair should be trimmed *very* short or completely removed)
Lots of facial piercings or very large ones (one or two small ones are ok)
Heavy drinking/smoking (light/social of either is tolerable)

Bad breath and posture turn me off.

Smoking is a turn off in a partner but ok in a bad boy fuck buddy.

And smoking = NO pretty much. I can't be around smoke anymore, and I just don't like the smell sticking in my hair and clothes.

Severe obesity would also be a deal breaker, so much that the guy wouldn't even be remotely attractive. Beards if well groomed might not be my fave, but it's not something that would squick me out, I kinda like the designer stubble look or a well groomed beard if it suits the guy. Bad teeth just disgust me so much, I don't mean the odd crooked tooth or not having perfect orthodontics, I mean teeth that show serious neglect in oral hygiene, if a guy can't be bothered to have plaque removed, I'm seriously grossed out. Teeth don't have to look like Hollywood teeth but if they're brown, it's a no go.

Btw Hank is a lot less butch these days...
