iwillserveu -> I got blocked before I could reply to someone complaining about my profile picture (11/2/2004 2:07:20 AM)

I got blocked before I could reply to someone complaing about my profile picture. Here is my reply. I spent fourty seconds on it, and the complainer might have been moderator one in disguise. (In which case a reply is needed.)

What do you suggest? I am in the closet for a very good reason that I'm not going to just say to a stranger. A face picture is out. This is nothing you can't see on broadcast TV and I'd prefer to be searchable in "photos only". A photo of somebody else would get the profile removed. Oh, a photo of a sign saying "Beware, naked guy in a chastity belt pictures inside," got deleted. I guess I could go with an empty collar, but if the sign was too cutting edge for collar me ...

BDSM is considered to be sexually natured. If you do not want to ever see a shirtless man, perhaps you are on the wrong site.

Oh, in case you are wondering, in that picture I'm wearing a chastity device, but there were complaints so I cropped it (to something you might see on network TV.)

I have seen more revealing pictures than yours. There is one picture that pops up all the time on my end of a guy laying naked on a beach. There is a picture of a woman totally naked by a bed. Big deal. You have to be an adult to register for this site. I don't see what the problem is.

Heck, I'm not allowed to look at naked pictures, and yours doesn't bug me. I'd be irritated if it were sent after I'd specified I'm not 'sposed to see naked people, but as a profile photo it's nothin' bad.

Plus, stuff like that one can ignore if one doesn't want to see it. Too, one is searching profiles on an adult site. One should probably expect pictures of people's bodies if not pictures of people's pink bits.

I decided to let Mod One deal with this herself, but I personally think you have a lot of nerve suggesting that it "might" be her in disguse. She has always shown integrity on these boards. You may not like her decisions, but she honest and doesn't hide and play games. If she felt your picture was an acual problem, it would be gone!

If your pictures werent allowed to be up on the site they would be removed. If you received mail from a reviewer for some reason it probably wouldnt be asking you to pull an already existing picture.

They would identify themselves as a reviewer/mod/whatever and say whatever it is that was needed to be said and they certainly wouldnt block you from responding back.

No one on our staff would conduct themselves that way.

No one is obligated to keep their face in a photo. Many blot them out, turn away etc. We only ask the the primary photo be a personal photo and not a picture of toys, a drawing or an extreme closeup of any bodypart such as feet, breasts, mouth etc.

If you feel you are being harassed by whoever contacted you please write to support or to me and we can look into the matter.

Thank you,

ModOne

LMAO

I was just going over some threads again and I realize that you mentioned me by name. When I first saw it I was rushing and thought you simply meant a moderator contacting you, not me specifically.

Since you addressed me specifically I figured you deserved a direct reply.

Who do you think I am that I have the time to be bothered sending harassing messages to people? and why is it you feel you are so special that I would pick you? LMAO this is about the funniest thing I have heard all day.

If I wanted a picture removed from the site I would have removed it myself, if I felt a user needed to be removed from the site, I would delete their account.

I have no reason to hide, or test or do things under anon names and I certainly wouldn't block someone from responding to me.

LOL that is just too funny. Got any more conspiracy theories?

remember this is the court jester you are talking about - I took Iwill's 'might' as just his wry sense of humour, ad not really intimating that it was mod1 or any mod - just a little fillip to help explain why he felt the person needed a response

Just my tuppence.
