I have multiple multiple allergies. The histamines they produced caused my esophagus to become deformed and therefore to allow acid reflux (as well as my bad habit of eating late night). I have been on Dexilant 60mg and instantly noticed relief. My script ran out and my doctor and I decided to see how went without it...within 2 days I got back on, that's how much difference it made. Dexilant helps to lower the amount of acid your stomach produces. I'd inquire about that or get back onto the Prilosec if it was helping. In any case, discuss with your medical professional.

Yup. If I stop taking my prilosect I too am having heart burn in a matter of days. So it does make a huge difference!
