I know there are others besides Expedia, but I can't think of a single one. If you have any experience with using it, or any other you could recommend, please let me know. He works full time to go to school and so I need to find him the best deal out there.

Thanks.

A freind of mine recommended Hotdeals.com, and I got a great deal on flights and 2 nights at a 4 star hotel that even expedia couldn't beat. I was flying from Phoenix AZ to various places in Florida for interviews. I usually ended up on Continental, I think.

If southwest flies in the area, they may have some deals too. I have yet to get a deal when looking at the flights on the airline's website, regardless of which one it is...the other places are better. Travelocity was one I used pretty regularly.

Happy hunting.....and watch out for hidden fees.....they pretty much charge for everything these days....have him bring his own snacks, NOT bought at the airport for longer flights. It sucks that you can only carry 3 ounces of liquid past the TSA, since bottled soda is 2 or 3 times more inside the airport than outside. Even if the bottles haven't been opened, you'll leave them at the TSA point. I guess they figure you might pour it on the floor and let the corrosive action eat a hole thru the fuselage.

Hotwire and Priceline are good if you're price driven and flexible. There's also Orbitz and Cheap Tickets.

If it's an international ticket, I would suggest checking with a travel agent. We have access to consolidator tickets which are basically what the tour companies have bought in bulk.

If you want to send me the cities and dates, I can point you to who has the lowest in that market.

I book my own travels (such as they are), and have found the best results to date with Travelocity for flight. (I book my own hotels.)

FR

I've used Kayak for flights, but I've never tried them for hotels or vacation packages.
