Man, those "X-Hookup" ads that CM is running upon sign-in with a woman's breasts (in one window) and butt (in another window) pressed against glass before a close-up camera are SUPER OBNOXIOUS. Ugh......... Signing in is now part-awful if those stupid ads are running.

One of the ads on the right hand side of the page on the "Other side" features the ever erotic "female primary and secondary sexual organs forcibly pressed against a translucent material" effect... I think she's drooling as well...

I've kind of trained my eyes to not look toward the right side of the screen when logging in. Those videos are just plain stupid. I'd much rather see vids of a hot dude giving a chick jewelry. When are we gonna get ads that appeal to what women want? [8D]

I have got to the point where I just don't "see" them any more. I figure it is something that has to be, in order for cm to stay free for use. Somebody has to pay the bills.

Female and male accounts have some overlapping ads, but a lot of them are different. Female accounts also do not get ads when viewing a profile, in between the pictures and the actual profile text, like male accounts do.

Shush people!!! If the people paying for those ads see this they might think their ads are ineffective and withdraw their support. You don't want CM to have to become a pay site, do you? Now everyone follow my lead... We love the ads! They're not annoying at all! They have great influence on our purchasing decisions!

So long as the ads do not use SOUND, or FLASHING LIGHTS, I don't care what they do. Some one has to pay for the site maintenance. If those who pay want to paint themselves technicolor stupid, then we have been warned.

That said, we could always see if it might be possible to set up a fund they could tap into if the ads dry up. Anonymous donations, invest the fund normally, tap in an emergency, and if it ever does get big enough that the surplus can sustain the site, they can scale back the ads or make them optional or the like. Be nice to see if the community could actually support itself, in a way. Course, at the moment, I wouldn't be down for more than a hundred or so myself, but I'm cheap. [:D] IWYW, — Aswad.
