I guess it was too much even for FNC, which is shocking in itself.

On the other hand, to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech. On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold.

The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryan’s mouth. Said fact checkers have already condemned certain arguments that Ryan still irresponsibly repeated

LOL at bringing up Sally Kohn's opinion in one post, claiming that Juan Williams isnt a liberal in another post, and bemoaning Fox as not being balanced in other posts. Consistency is apparently a problem for you.

And now, the rest of the story... The part Ken kinda skipped over... But thanks for proving Fox IS fair and balanced.

Previously, Kohn was Senior Campaign Strategist with the Center for Community Change, where she served as co-Director. She also previously served as Executive Director of the Third Wave Foundation. Kohn held a program fellowship at the Ford Foundation, helping to manage more than $15 million in annual grants. She was also a distinguished Vaid Fellow at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute. Kohn has consulted at organizations such as the Urban Justice Center. She was also a strategic adviser to the Social Justice Infrastructure Funders.

Now is anyone but Ken surprised Ms Kohn might just be a bit biased in her OPINION PIECE? Last time I looked, Fox had a disclaimer saying their views don't necessarily match those of their commentators.

Oh and if wiki isn't good enough, here's her website.

As Yoda would say, "the bias is strong in this one".

Fightdirecto -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 10:00:52 AM)

Andy Borowitz, the political satirist, wrote (with comic exaggeration) that the only things Ryan said in his speech that were true was the names of his wife and children - and Ryan later apologized for accidentally telling the truth in that instance.

I will say, however, that Ms. Rice's speech had been the best speech I've heard by any speaker at the GOP convention. She set a standard that none of the others have been able to meet or exceed and I doubt if Romney will even come close to her public speaking ability.

It's hilarious how hard you right winger are trying to deny the facts. Ryan lied, a lot, during his speech. Every news organization out there that does fact checking has called him on it.

stef -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 10:23:43 AM)

Who cares if he lied, it was electrifying!

Electrilying!

Is Ryan really the dipshit the far right thinks will bring people into the fold?

subrob1967 -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 10:37:33 AM)

Obama's been lying for four fucking years, but it's amazing that lies now matter to your side of the aisle.

I suppose the most transparent administration evah never lied at a political pep rally[8|]

Tim to clean house, your hypocrisy is stinking up the place.

Clint Eastwood is the surprise speaker.

Again, where was the *shock* when Obama claimed he would end global warming, and lower sea levels?

Lucylastic -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 11:51:14 AM)

LMAO you mean to say that Bush didnt lie, Mccain didnt lie, Palin didnt lie???? time to take responsibility for your own party as the dems ARENT MY party as you are so fond of telling me....

what he actually said was
The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment - this was the time - when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America.
yeah, hope and belief doesnt make him a liar ....

I dont seem to remember you being in favour of any of his so called "claims" especially the energy/solar/wind/alternative energy actions, let alone jobs /medical care, or standing together to remake your nation from the" skiddy sliding towards clusterfuck status" thing it was into anything better for anyone except the rich.
and neither has anyone else on the right done anything but obstruct and decry and lie.

Its not that lies only matter now to "MY side", its that yours hasnt STOPPED. and RYans were verifiable lies
get a bloody grip

And the distortions by the "fact checkers" readily exposed.

mnottertail -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 12:05:34 PM)

Not too readily, since not much in the way of 'distortions' were credibly cited in exposes.

Preciesly when and where did Obama promise to "end global warming, and lower sea levels?"

At his acceptance speech if I remember. with the Greek pillars all around him.

You remember wrong.  Not only what he said, and where he said it but while we are factchecking, sea levels have fallen.

America, this is our moment. This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past. Our time to bring new energy and new ideas to the challenges we face. Our time to offer a new direction for the country we love.

The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. Me? I don't believe I'm the confused one here... Didn't Ryan receive a standing ovation? Didn't the crowd roar in approval of his speech? Did you see any delegates shaking their heads and walking out in shame? Do you see any pundits saying the speech was disappointing, and lackluster?

No, you saw the VP candidate give a rousting speech to rev up his audience... Do I need to hand feed you the definition of electrifying? We see pundits claiming Ryan lied, and we see fear, fear in Obama supporters. How is that not electrifying?
