Sadly some cancers spread like wildfires while others are slow growing. Our sheriff was a dear friend of our family. He got sick and went to the ER when he had trouble breathing, and they found lung cancer. That was in September of last year. By November he was dead and he only had one chemo but it made him so sick, him and his doctor decided to try and get him stronger before trying again. A friend that is scary young with young children went to the ER for sudden hearing trouble and they found a mass in her lung that turned out to be cancer. Everything she read was ominous and had her up all night weeping about leaving such small children without a mother. They decided on a course of Chemo before surgery. After the chemo and surgery they did another scan that looks for cancer cells and she is completely cancer free. I do not think it is the chemo that spreads it but it does make people very very ill, I think what determines the cancers spreading is the type of cancer. Some are horribly aggressive that a person goes from fine to dead in a terrifying amount of time while others are cured.

But many years later she is alive and well today. My former roommate's Dad smoked weed every day since 1968 when he was in college. He just had to leave an executive role at a well-known bailed out bank because of the massive lymphoma in his lung. The Drs are citing his marijuana use as at least an aggravating factor.

Acid reflex disease, used to be simply indigestion until the yuppies couldn't even take that much. Now they are selling us a drug we take everyday to prevent gas at all and from anything we eat. There was actually a knee-jerk pill out there to for the 'restless leg syndrome.' There is a drug ($80-$100 month with discount) to slow the growth of Alzheimers except for one problem...you can't tell if it works. I personally refuse to take any prescription drug unless it is an emergency. 1/2 of them are as likely to kill me. Of course, that's ok because after all...there is a profit to be made out here and that is our entire culture. My family can sue for me after I am dead and buried. That'll show 'em.

Also in some states where people can get a script for marijuana it is widely used in cancer patients for pain. I would think if it was as aggressive at fighting cancer they would see huge improvements in patients who smoked it vs those who dont and there would be no way to squash the results with todays internet access and social media.

The studies into this have been on animals, not humans, and it has been with THC, not marijuana smoke. I would like to point out that smoking pot has some side effects that you might want to think about. For one thing, the smoke from pot causes microscopic holes in the lining of the lungs, this has been proven repeatedly. Smoke from cigarettes does the same thing. Marijuana smoke also contains tar, like cigarettes. Besides, I smoked pot and still got kidney cancer.
