A Dominant completes, but never
  tries to alter.
But to complete one must be able
to see what is there, not what is
missing and THIS most of all
requires humility.

I really enjoyed the poem....especially the part about completes...at first my thought was...but I am complete with or without a Dom...then for some strange reason...I remembered something my Instructor said last semester..." An essay is never complete...just due"....why I equated the two....cause I am an ongoing work in process...and to an extent I am looking for someone to complete..or enhance me...but till I die I will be forever working on it....

mastersayed -> RE: philosophy? (6/11/2006 11:18:42 PM)

couldnt agree more. but remember that masters and doms are people and people are not perfect

noblesseoblige -> RE: philosophy? (6/11/2006 11:21:36 PM)

This is soooo true....Thanks

mystiquenz -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 12:32:59 AM)

Puts my two cents into the pool., and thinks that a bottom/submissive/slave needs to be complete in their own being, so that they can give their entirity ... having said that, maybe, if the sub is not complete, and the dom is not complete, how can they possibly be complete together?

I like to think about two people having two flames, and watching those flames, merge, into one flame.  Both little flames, being one strong, flame, the ying and the yang coming together as one ...

i'm meant to be reading ... but not this kind of paperwork ...

Tikkiee -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 7:20:04 AM)

I am with LA on this one. It's a nice little poem, but I would shudder to see someone actually use it as a philosophy on how they should be.

missturbation -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 8:54:22 AM)

The poem just made me think of joey from friends writing monica and chandlers wedding vows - it was all about the loving and giving and loving and giving !! A long verse with not much point.

littleone35 -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 9:17:45 AM)

To the OP i personally loved it and i think it is a good guideline.  I am not sure if a person could live by it totally but i really did like it.

Matt's littleone

1st of all it is not a poem. I took it form a Dom that has been in the life for 20 +years. Too each his own. I wasn't looking to get bashed. I don't care if you agree or not with the philosophy, but anyway keep posting. You all are soo funny.....I will post a new thread so you can bash me there too. LOL keep it going

It's written like a poem, look at its format!!

You asked for opinions on what you had written and i gave mine. I in no way disrepect the 'philosophy' you choose to live by and in no way was 'bashing' you.

Just seems a long winded way to get to the simple point of humility.

So that was the point of it, huh?

Cynic that I am, when I see a guy start a thread announcing "his philosophy" on the submissive board, I think that the point is to say: "Hey look at me girls! I'm such a wise dom, ain't I? If you didn't check out my cute pics when I started that other thread to get attention, here's your chance to do it now! You'll be smitten."

But I do appreciate the unintended comedy of seeiing him try to pass it off as his own until Level revealed the real author; plagiarism isn't in the philosophy of most folks. And it is an hilarious irony that someone who seems so intent on drawing attention to himself would claim a philosophy of humility.

I say "Keep 'em coming!"

missturbation -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 10:02:41 AM)

well humility was mentioned so many times i kinda figured that had to be the point - didnt it? lol.

CrappyDom -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 11:03:41 AM)

Why isn't there an emoticon for gagging on saccharine?

My philosophy is to be an arrogant prick who uses and disposes of women like dirty towels at a spa, someone is always ready to give you a new one, the whole point of being at a spa is to revel in your own hedonism, something I do truly have talent for.  When that doesn't work, I act all modest and suck up for a while till they put out new towels and the whole cycle repeats itself.

Isn't life grand?

noblesseoblige -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 12:06:47 PM)

I happen to have a few friends on this message board. They have asked me to post something that would be more food for thought than kicks and giggles. I was not passing it off as mine. I freely admitted I didn't write it  as soon as I was asked. Passing on a quote to a few friends is not plagiarism. What I love is a person who reads the first few posts on an 8 page thread and suddenly thinks they know what is going on. My previous thread was not about "hey look at me I am cute". It was a question I asked as a light hearted topic because it took me 5 days to get my pic approved and I thought it looked a little fuzzy. You would have known this if you would have read the entire thread..... haha..... People are so predictable

noblesseoblige -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 12:09:07 PM)

hahaha.....Thanks Crappy...... people need to lighten up a little more.

LMAO...

juliaoceania -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 12:42:09 PM)

Shuts mouth before the only person I care about that comes to this forum makes me hold a quarter against the wall with my nose while I miss out on all the good spankings because I crossed that judgmental line in the sand.

Nice poem..urm .. uh... I mean 'philosophy'.

CrappyDom -> RE: philosophy? (6/12/2006 5:25:42 PM)

Uh, it was you who I was mocking sir...

If you want discussion, go to the general forum and start a discussion about your thoughts or join one.

Posting lofty sounding pablum in the submissives forum screams of pandering, kind of like the nerdy guy at a party who just wants to be "friends" with everyone's submissives but can't be bothered to say hello or even make eye contact with their owners.

Oh, and it is funny how all your friends showed up the same time you did...

Aeon -> RE: philosophy? (6/13/2006 10:42:15 AM)

Now you just sound bitter and jealous Crappy...
what truly is funny is how you keep following Noblesse around dissing everything He has to say.  Don't You have anything better to do for cryin out loud??? ANYone can post in these message boards and they do NOT have to have YOUR permission.  You don't even know the first thing about Noblesse and He has been nothing but nice to You...although i can't see why. The subbie friends He referred to that asked Him to post, were friends he made on this message board...they did NOT "show up when He did"...excuse me but i think you KNOW Puella and the others so you know i am right. THEY asked Him to post this.
Bottom line is if all you have to do with your time is wander around spewing venom...get a life!! Don't you have a wedding to be planning for?

P.S. i am not His slave either...so my only reason for defending Him is that He is actually a really great guy and friend!

noblesseoblige -> RE: philosophy? (6/13/2006 11:00:18 AM)

crappy,
I have many friends that are REAL  Dom's (unlike yourself). I don't have a problem approaching Dom's. I created this thread to ask subs a question about a quote not to ask  Dom's about personal opinions about Myself  .  I do speak My mind and am not afraid to stand up for Myself. I think that is why you don't like me.  Envy .....I think that sums crappy up......

KatyLied -> RE: philosophy? (6/13/2006 11:24:20 AM)

And that makes me wonder why you didn't bother to cite it to begin with.  Perhaps you were hoping that some silly girl would think it came from your brain.  There's nothing wrong with posting something and giving it proper credit.

I do agree with the "pandering" comment.  Most girls can see right through that stuff.

Aeon -> RE: philosophy? (6/13/2006 11:46:12 AM)

Katy
He didn't cite the author for 2 reasons..He didn't know who exactly it was and also we had already discussed His posting it before He started the new thread to do so.  So when you guys come onto this thread you are missing all the preamble.  That's all.
