There's a lot of funny stuff in there if
you look at it with a sense of humour.

Stop head banging already heh.

There has been a duality of feminism from its inception - the intention, and the perversion. Equality lies in the former, and the actual events (in some, not all cases) in the latter.

The practice of feminism as revenge is prevalent in societies that embrace political and social correctness, as though there were a large stick by which such things might be fairly measured. It's the natural result of capitulation of one side to the other, and probably was similar in the beginnings of social development when men took the original, aggressive dominant stance. Whether the nature of human beings - and we are selfish things, a trait which does not settle with one gender - can be held to a moral standard seems simultaneously awkward and pointless. Yes, some women capitalize on feminism, the way some men capitalize on their own status, and if one is egregious then so is the other. How we might judge ourselves with a notion of equality that challenges Newton and math at the same time (what are equal amounts, and how does one claim equal inverse qualities? have we fallen to eyes for eyes, and shekels for shekels?) and keep our evolved conscience clean?

This is not by any means a way of vilifying feminism or declaring it wrong, merely the acknowledgement that humans, stupid and politic, have a grand capacity for fucking things up by letting greed overcome common sense. Why that would apply less to feminism than, say, unionism or government structure, is self-inherently ridiculous, and ironic if we reintroduce that lovely catchy word, equal.

I personally hold the belief that genders will be equal when they are abolished, and we rise up to the glory of the earthworm. Until then, tits and beards will serve as pointed reminders that things are not equal, and maybe, perhaps, that they shouldn't be.

I actually looooved it!!! And to be honest, it's something I've thought of quite often. I just don't talk about it because I don't feel like being torn to pieces lol.

Good for you LW, and I'm glad to see your
making a few posts again, I hope all your
problems get better soon, or atleast time
makes there impact on you fade so you can
get back concentrating on the fun things.

With this video I thought it had a great blend
of funny, crazy and the truth. But he plays
with it and makes it into a brutal rebuttal to
the guy near the start.

With the things it's trying to say, for me it's a
mixed bag and while it makes some great
points and examples, I think he misses the
reality in favour of it being contentious.

I'll give a example...

With the clips of women starting a fight with
men, yes it's great in showing the biased
reaction but I've actually been that guy that's
taking out someone who has been throwing
punches at a girl.
With this my view is, there's "societies rules"
and "my rules", my rules might be a girl steps
out of line she gets put in her place but I
would never impose or enforce that on anyone
besides my partner. Why?
Because the random bitch on the street doesn't
belong to me, as far as I'm concerned you play
by the rules of society or you have no business
living in it.
Think of it this way, I might think it's entirely
appropriate to slap a girl on the ass because I
feel like it, but would I want any of my sisters,
my mum or my partner to live in a society
where anyone can take that liberty with them...

It's the same with hitting a girl, sexual
harassment and a whole raft of other things
which I might think are personally silly when
in the privacy of my own home but...
would I want to lose the protection that those
things gave my friends and family in public,
No.

And that's why I play by the rules, if I want
my loved ones to be treated with respect and
courtesy and if I want people to come to their
aid should they need it, then I have to show
respect, courtesy and give aid, which I do and
have.

My partner hits me at home, then she's in for a
rough night, some random bitch does it, I
swallow my pride and walk away (hopefully),
because one, societies rules will fuck me up if
I get into a fight with a girl on the street...
Two, it's bad form to hit a girl, and everyones
going to see her as the bitch anyway...
And three, it's called being the bigger man!
It's obvious that I could woop a girls ass...
I could also crush a hampster if it bit me, but
then I'd be a fuckwit... same thing.

All that aside there were some funny parts in
that video, I can't pick a favorite but the
S.L. Jackson clip would have to be right up
there, does anyone know what thats from?

Imo, women say they want equality across the board but yet hold these views that a man should not hit a woman. If you want equality then you have to take the entire package, not just the ones you want to pick and choose. Want to do all the things a man can do? Then that includes being hit by a man and doing stupid shit like a man.

LaTigresse -> RE: Controversial stuffs (9/1/2012 1:10:01 PM)

I generally don't click on links......I like my computer.

But in reading what Littlewonder just wrote, just because SOME men do stupid shit, because SOME men are not intelligent enough to deal with drama without violence, does not mean I have to stoop to their level of stupidity or tolerate it. Any man that even threatens to hit me or anyone I love will suffer every single consequence of that stupidity.

Equality does not mean being the same as the worst examples of manhood.

Period.

I love you.

LaTigresse -> RE: Controversial stuffs (9/1/2012 1:15:54 PM)

I love you too!

As an addendum. Since there are very few men I have actually met in this world that I admire or respect, I do not want to be 'equal' to them. I strive to be far better a human being than they are. The men I do actually admire or respect.......being equal is a non issue. They respect me and I them.

Saem here :)

All I'm saying though is that if you want the same rights and privileges, expect the same consequences. You can't pick and choose.

Bullshit. The men I admire and respect wouldn't put up with the examples you gave of consequences and neither will I.

And I don't.

I just think that there should be no non-consensual violence all around. Gender does not come into the equation.

Neither gender should commit non-consensual violence. Why pick the worst of masculine stereotypes rather than the best?

stellauk -> RE: Controversial stuffs (9/1/2012 3:16:39 PM)

When we allow ourselves and others to be individuals the '-isms' become far less important.

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Controversial stuffs (9/1/2012 3:56:04 PM)

~fr~
I agree that non-consensual violence should not be tolerated by either sex. That said, I have known chicks that slapped their man and he didn't hit them back. I feel like if you are "woman" enough to throw a punch, don't expect being a woman to save you from getting your lights knocked out.

ARIES83 -> RE: Controversial stuffs (9/1/2012 4:00:02 PM)

Hmm, the one thing I disagree with strongly
is the fact he is trying to pin a lot of the evils
of society on single mums raising monsters and
social retards...

I was raised by a single mum, all my siblings
are younger and female, if anything this
perspective just taught me that girls when left
to their own devices are serious "eye roll" fodder
sometimes... But my mum is one of the strongest
most sensible and funniest people I know.

And I'm not a serial killer... Yet. Mwa haaa ha.
